I am naturally an aggro/ burn player because its fun. My friends have challenged me to make a midrange multiplayer deck. So i thought i would ask ml what i should build. My play group is 4, with only one other person being a real threat.

I thought about a rock type but i have no idea.

Thanks <3

If you love to play burn, then UR multiburn is nice.
You play cards like wild richochet and shunt, solid burn effects, wipe like sufurous blasts and card draw.

You can play sun droplet for degenerate staying power, and finish players with blazes like Demonfire and the like.

Be sure to play storage lands and cards like urza's factory, and you're done! Very Happy

EDIT: Pyromancer's acsension also works amazingly in this deck, but can draw a lot of aggro.

Burn does not work in multi player.

I have a single player lock-down deck that everyone hates to play

Stasis would be fun, i agree.

Here's the multiplayer deck that I built last night and tested today to great success:

Creatures:

4x Cemetary Gate
4x Crypt Rats

Enchantments:

4x Pestilence
4x Treacherous Link

Instants/Sorceries:

4x Doom Blade
3x Corrupt
3x Cruel Edict
4x Dark Ritual
2x Syphon Soul
3x Consume Spirit
2x Drain Life
1x Plague Wind

Land:

4x Spawning Pool
1x Cabal Coffers
17x Swamp

After the testing, I'm probably going to do this:

-2 Crypt Rats
-1 Plague Wind

+1 Corrupt
+1 Cruel Edict
+1 Swamp

I didn't like seeing multiple Pestilence, though it was worth it to get the lock more certainly. However, seeing more Crypt Rats when I already have an extra Pestilence in hand is kinda stupid. Plague Wind was also a brain fart of mine... with virtually no creatures in the deck and a way to deal with virtually every other creature that exists, it's rather pointless. Corrupt was great for me to keep myself ahead (read: alive) when I got ganged up on to stall until I got the Pestilence lock and for obvious reasons nets you the win when you're done wrathing everyone. Cruel Edict killed a Darksteel Myr that was becoming rather irritating as well as black creatures with big butts that were hard to Pestilence and un-Doom Blade-able.

Also, I need to buy a few Cabal Coffers and replace one of the Drain Lifes with a Consume Spirit. The only issue is physically acquiring these cards as my shop is out of both. Did Consume Spirit suddenly become uber-popular? Neutral

Have you thought about going combo?

Kokusho, the Evening Star in Dragonstorm?

Really it is the only multiplayer deck that I like. You could play vs 5 or more players and just win.

You can play with the mana base a little to save money. You really have to play all four Molten Slagheap though. Even two Fungal Reaches may be good as well. If you played more basic lands, you save a lot of money!

4 x Blood Crypt
4 x Sulfurous Springs
4 x Dragonskull Summit
4 x Molten Slagheap
4 x Swamp
4 x Mountain

4 x Kokusho, the Evening Star
2 x Bogardan Hellkite

4 x Rite of Flame
4 x Desperate Ritual
4 x Seething Song
4 x Infernal Tutor
4 x Thoughtsieze
4 x Sign In Blood
4 x Dragonstorm
2 x Rakdos Signet

You could find something a little better the Rakdos Signet though. It's cheap, fixes mana, and adds to storm count in a pinch. Two Empty the Warrens/Damnation could also be good over the Signets.

I was trying to think of a deck with fumiko, using ghostly prisons and things to make my opponents have to attack.

Are there more cards like fumiko?
