So... what are the 50 best cards in Standard, I would like to see what everyone thinks. The rules for the top 50 cards is simple: no Lands, and that's it (Fetch-lands, Duals, etc) If you would like to submit less than 50 that is okay too.

I'll start the list off.

1. Jace the Mindscuplter

I think you're better off asking what everyone's top 10 is.

I'd say, in no order past Jace: Jace the Mind Sculptor, Grave Titan, Vengevine, Mana Leak, Preordain, Valakut the Molten Pinnacle, Lotus Cobra, Avenger of Zendikar, Primeval Titan, Lightning Bolt.

Probably the absolute worst representation of the concept. So many cards here are completely terrible, some are barely played, others are highly overrated... what were you thinking? Just trying to find a way to waste a bunch of time?

Mana leak being in anyone's top 10 is pretty terrible.

Almost as bad as Luminarch Ascension. Or Inquisition over Duress.

@tacomaster
Squadron hawk= tenth best card in standard. Really? REALLY? REALLY?

I blame Brian Kibler having an exuberant personality.

My top 10 in no particular order...

Mana Leak
Preordain
Primeval Titan
Lightning Bolt
Day of Judgment
Jace, the Mind Sculptor
Spreading Seas
Quest for the Holy Relic
Lotus Cobra
Avenger of Zendikar

Wall of Omens would totally be on this list if the metagame shifted toward aggro. It's such a great card in a vacuum but the environment is so bad for it right now.

1. Jace, the Mind Sculptor
2. Tectonic Edge (Sorry this makes this list regardless of your rules, it is that good)
3. Mark of Mutiny
4. Inquisition of Kozilek
5. Squadron Hawk
6. Flashfreeze
7. Summoning Trap
8. Pyroclasm
9. Lotus Cobra
10. Luminarch Ascension

So pretty much my top 10, are ALL cards you HAVE to play around most of the time. Minus #4 but its pretty obvious why it is there.

P.S. Kor Firewalker should be somewhere in that list but I put it at #11 as for Leonin Arbiter being #12

1. JTMS (This spot cannot be argued, this card warped the format and is currently the best card in standard)
2. Primevil Titan (Powercreep much. Honestly this is was close. Many argue that Primevil is the best card. Valakut was (and still is) a dominating deck in the format and Primevil is a key compoment. He also snuck into Eldrazi lists.
3. Lightning Bolt (This card is just iconic. After you get the two Kings out of the way, bolt is just amazing, enough said.
4. Mana Leak (Not as iconic as bolt but still a staple in any control deck, some lists have been running 2 nowdays but Mana Leak is definetely the 2nd most powerful blue card in standard)
5. Lotus Cobra (This honestly could be 3rd. You have to kill him T2. If you don't be ready for T3 JTMS, Acidic Slimes, etc. The engine behind RUG/BUG.)
6. Valakut (Started as a fun deck back in Shards and now it's a powerhouse. A resolved Primevil usually means gg. Arguebly the most powerful deck in T2 currently)
7. Manlands (Everyone one of them has seen play sometime. 4/5 have seen significant play in current T2. This guys are amazing.)
8. Tectonic Edge (One of the few answers to Valakut/Manlands in the format.)

If your going to allow for edge, then you may as well also allow for creeping tar pit and celestial colonnade both of those cards are pretty awesome.
