I would just like to let the magic-league community know I will not be doing anymore draft walk throughs. As amusing as the 15-16 super geeks may find this I have refound God and given up gambling. So I will no longer be using modo.

Thanks for all the help and advice over my period of relentless draft walk throughs. I think it was quite notable over time how my results improved as the constructive criticism and sometimes otherwise sunk in. A special thanks to dv8r, whoms advice was always thought provoking, insightfull, well articulated and easily digestable.

It's been fun but this is the end of line for me and my draft walkthrough's for the forseeable future. I'm playing magic less and less these days with no modo. However I am sure I will log on undercover and do a couple of drafts on ml after scars come out.

Thanks once again, I've enjoyed discussing and arguing with you all about the countless limited formats I've been doing these walkthoughs for.

Peace, Love and Empathy Trotsky1.

ABBOT. He's gone- his soul hath ta'en its earthless flight- Wither I dread to think - but he is gone.

You might be gone for now, but I promise you'll be back. We all come back. We just can't help ourselves. Speaking of Modo, I was wanting to pretty much just draft and attempt to collect the entire set...so perhaps I should just play Modo instead of paper...

As much as I would like modo to not be gambling it is. In order to recieve product for placing in an event, you have to tick a box verifying gambling is legal in your country. So to me that makes it gambling:<

As a fellow Brit I loved your draft reports Trotsky1, even though I never found out your real name.

Surely you can still use netdraft though?

Thanks guys. Yes i can still use net draft but I am unaware of a draft recording aplication, which would allow me to produce draft reports in the way i do now.

person engages in gambling if he stakes or risks something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance or a future contingent event not under his control or influence, upon an agreement or understanding that he or someone else will receive something of value in the event of a certain outcome. This is not magic. Players have control of the outcome Smile

The reason modo asked that is to cover thier ass, overzelous prosecuters who don't play magic can get the wrong idea and attempt to prosecute TOs as opporating a gambling ring, all such cases have been thrown out in the past since magic is a game of both luck and skill. Similar to chess in its skill/luck factor. Of course some people can get a addiction to magic similar to gambling addicton, however, this behavior is a symptom of larger addictive personality traits and can cross into any hobby. Sorry to hear you think magic is gambling, Mabey in some ways it was for you. But to me its a fun hobby that challanges both my analytical skills and problem solving skills and win or lose I tend to have a great time.
