So this past weekend I played shaman naya at the PTQ, did soso. I tweaked the deck again afterwards and want to know people's opinions on what can make it better.

Lands(26)
5 Forest
2 Mountain
2 Plains
4 Misty Rainforest
4 Arid Mesa
1 Evolving Wilds
2 Raging Ravine
1 Stirring Wildwood
1 Rootbound Crag
1 Sunpetal Grove
1 Jungle Shrine
2 Sejiri Steppe

Creatures (30)
4 BBE
4 Vengevine
4 Fauna Shaman
4 Knight of the Reliquary
4 Noble Hierarch
3 Lotus Cobra
1 Birds of Paradise
3 Cunning Sparkmage
1 Stoneforge Mystic
1 Linvala, Keeper of Secrets
1 Baneslayer Angel

Other (4)
1 Gideon
1 O-Ring
1 Sword of Vengeance
1 Basilisk Collar

SB
4 Path to Exhile
2 Celestial Purge
1 Sun Titan
1 Qasali Pridemage
1 Dauntless Escort
1 Realm Razer
1 O Ring
1 Obstinate Balloth
1 Kor Firewalker
1 Caldera Hellion
1 Behemoth Sledge

I know its a lot like Neal Chase's version from Pittsburgh PTQ, but I change some of the tooling creatures. I think Linvala has to be main because she wins the mirror match where your SB is not gonna be much better than theirs. I dk why most decks are maindecking realm razer I feel like its a dead draw on a lot of decks. I like the synergy of sun titan with pridemage/escort, I don't think its interaction with shaman is that amazing. I haven't tried caldera Hellion out yet but I can see it being amazing vs weenie decks/mirror/jund. Anyhows any real advice would be appreciated.

Last note, I'm thinking of adding mystifying maze to the land base but I dk if its neccessary or what to take out.

The maindeck Razer is because Primeval titan ushered in an era of Valakut. It was waaaay too popular, and its tough to win g1s against it. The Razer basically defeats their entire strategy.

you need atleast 1 scute mob main deck.
3 lotus cobra is too much. id say -1, +1 birds of paradise. if i were playing this deck, i would just go all out and do -2 lotus cobra, +1 birds of paradise, +1 scute mob.

please do yourself a favor and take out the gideon. you have no use for it at all. if you really want, substitute it for ajani veangent.

subsitute o ring for path to exile. o ring is too slow for main deck shamnaya

I had scute mob/ ranger package this weekend and found myself siding it out every game and getting upset at every cascade into a scute mob. The card is only good when you have 5+ mana on the board, and at that point vengevine/baneslayer are just better. I would try one more bird than cobra. Alot of pple were saying its a ot of cobra, but it makes for some great t2-4 plays, especially with KoTR.
I did not think the primeval titan deck would be huge in the meta just because there are not a million copies of it yet and thee deck requires 4, I saw none, and noone i knew faced any, and the only person i knew who ran one lost early.

I play the deck myself and watched Neal Chase every single round (drove in the card with him there).

Scute mob is a good creature, as is ranger of eos. But neither belong here. I tried myself and they both are dead targets with shaman and only good in the opening hands and off the top (if that).

1x linvala is a MUST HAVE if you expect to beat the mirror. 1X maindeck realm razor is also similar to a must have. something being a "dead draw" and only being a 1 of, but completely wrecking valakut, possibly UW control, and any rouge control decks like grixis is certainly worth it.

Giddeon doesn't really seem to be needed here.

Lotus cobra is either insane or just O.K. Not worth cutting yet in my opinion.

i'd cut 1 jungle shrine and 1 rootbound crag for 2 ancient ziggarat. It's pretty broken in this deck.

I like the s/b perhaps with the exception of celestial purge. What is it even good against? Jund? Oblivion ring is similar there...or you could just go up to more baneslayers against them.

Sword of vengence is pretty narrow. It's good in play and on a guy with a tap to activate ability...but really not anywhere else. You can board it in and it would be OK, but I'd rather have a sledge maindeck than a sword.

You need a bojuka bog in the s/b. it with linvala makes you 50/50 with the mirror, if you don't have both...you're less than even.

In the mirror, I'd sideboard out Vengevines, Lotus cobras, and possibly some BBE's. Caldera helion makes those dead draws (if you can't punch it in quick enough) and the plan is usually to go late and get them with a baneslayer.

I don't like the maze here really, but i like it in general. Colorless lands are the pitts. 1X Tech edge would make it before that land does.

I'm trying out 4x goblin ruinblaster in the board (easy to hit with ancient ziggarat) against UW and even valakut.

Lemme know how the testing goes.

After quickly reading through the naya lists that top 8ed this past weekend, and seeing the numerous big mana decks, realm razer is now going in MB. I dk if bojuku bog is really neccessary, considering linvala doesn't let any of their shinangans happen(fauna shaman). And siding BBE and vengevine just feel awkward considering they are the heart and soul of the deck(not counting shaman).

The games that I got gideon I always won, hes great in a lot of matches, but considering he is a one of, and he doesn't exactly fit the deck(though him + linvala wrecked naya sooo bad), and if I do put ziggurats(been considering) gives less synergy, so I may take him out.

Purge is for multiple things and I was debating between 1 and 2 at the ptq and went with one and sort of regretted it: jund, rdw, pyromancer(I faced it), vamps(still exists) and any other rb crazy things, I may take them out if I can feel comfortable in testing w/o it vs those matchups.

Sword of vengeance I think is better MD than sledge and heres why. The matchups you bring sledge out are usually agro. In those matchups, bringing out collar instead is not much more of a downgrade, u just loose the trample, but on a sparkmage is even better. The sword wins in the control MUs. I finished one of my matches early and got to watch my friends esper control vs a shaman naya, and late game where control almost always wins(when no vines are in the yard), his sword of vengeance turned all his small beasties into hasties, which made the difference in the game. It also turns their unstoppable lolslayer into a chump blocker. I will keep the equipment as is for the time being. If I do play vs an agro deck, then I do switch to sledge after g1 of course. Also sword of vengeance plus KoTR = rediculous things.

I may try out bojuku bog, a lot of vengevine builds are catching including dredgevine(which downright scares me how fast it is).

Thx for the tidbits
