You just have to use your brain and buy these cards before they cost that much. I thought about buying Jace TMS at 17 but refused because I just came back to Magic and did not want to invest that much. I did not do the same mistake with Gideon, Vengevine and Primeval Titan. I got these for 19, 15 and 17 Euro each. Now they cost 27, 33 and 28 Euro. You can just not afford to wait until the format is completely developed.

What Shinato said...
I bought my Baneslayers when they where still 20 euro's... (I actually bought some for 10 first, to sell them for 15 because I expected them to end there...)
I bought my Jace's when they where still 20 euro's (Just sold all 4 for 220 euro's Smile)
I bought my Gideon's for 12,50 each.
I bought my Primeval Titan for between 20 and 25 euro's max

For the record, I didn't buy Lotus Cobra's or Abyssal Persecutor for the hype prices, because I didn't expect them to raise in value.
Complaining about the prices is something you can fix yourself via smart buying...

No. He's not worth it. He may cost it, but he is not worth it. He's worth 50 cents, and that's being generous. Ink and cardboard just ain't worth a lot!

Price/value/cost confusion. Sorry to nitpick. Smile

His Price is 80 USD. Being as how he's in a marketplace where people will only pay as much as they value him, it's safe to assume his Value ('Worth') is close to 80 USD as well. Ink and cardboard *cost* very little. In this case, their *value* (or worth) is close to $80 for this specific combination of ink and cardboard.

His Value and Price are roughly equal around 80 USD. His Cost is around 50 cents. Sorry to be a word nazi, but price/value/cost confusion causes other problems if left unchecked. Sad
