Can Time Reversal become the first banned card in years?

In the past, cards with effects like Time Reversal's has been centerpieces to crazy comboes. I can see it in a RU Pyromancer's Ascension deck drawing lots of cards, but can't really find a card to finish off the opponent other than cheap burn.

Thoughts?

Engrishskill you're obviously retarded coz you judge the deck like a stupid noob just by seeing it on paper and u don't even know how time reversal works in that deck...

That's 7 damage.

It triggers Runeflare Trap in your own turn, though. That's 7 damage too, but costs R rather than BBB.

Well for that Trap you'd need more mana since you can play the Dreams the turn (or some turns) before.

Imagine Dreams turn 3 + 4, Reversal turn 5 (: Still, that's NOT the way you'd really want to play Reversal imo...

Anyway, in my deck the Reversal is mostly for turn 10 or turn 8 after an ultimatum(if you got 2 lands from ultimatum) so you go time warp then reversal...

Maybe a sort of Pyromancer's Ascension deck with Lightning Bolt, Burst Lightning, Preordain/Ponder, Worldly Counsel, Reverberate. Then have 4x Leyline of Anticipation with 3-4 Time Warps and 3-4 Time Reversal. So basically, their end step you Time Reversal, then Time Warp on your turn, and burn them (the Ascension would ideally already have around 2 counters on them).

It seems like it would require too many cards to work, but something along those lines where you empty your hand early, then can empty after the Reversal could maybe work.

Imo the only way to "break" Time Reversal would be using Leyline of Anticipation and playing the Reversal on their end step.

Yes that could work, so the rest of the deck should then either be control/stall or mana acceleration.

unfortunately almost all of the slots get taken up from the spells I listed except like 4. You could potentially use the burn spells or into the roil to remove some early threats.

Reversal sadly won't work with Pyromancer Ascension at all. I love the card to death but shuffling back in your yard before Ascension is active totally blows and that would happen more often than you would think. I have thought about it with runeflare, but ultimately it just isn't as good as a mono red splash a color list because they are infinitely faster.

This clearly won't work well, but maybe have a deck with Eye of the Storm, Time Reversal, and Instants/Sorceries, then somehow get Eye into play, and Time Reversal, then whenever you cast an instant or Sorcery you get a fresh hand.

This would MAYBE have worked in old Extended, but probably not in Legacy.

Also, maybe a deck with Time Reversal and Identity Crisis could be "playable"....
