Alright, so I have to make a tribal deck using "constructs" as my tribe and I was wondering what people thought was the best deck for me to make.

First of all, here are the rules:

Each player must have 25 cards of their tribe in their deck (Anything that is of creature type "construct", so changelings count as well)

The legacy banned list + any cards that hose a single tribe, applies.

Only common lands can be used. Artifact lands are banned.

All elves, goblins, blue faeries, elementals, zombies, and merfolk are banned.

No sideboard is allowed.

Last time I did "walls" as my tribe, and placed top 4 with a really bad match against kobold combo in the top 4. Here was my list:

So now that you have the rules and an example deck.... Here was my idea for my "construct" deck. This is in very rough form, but you get the idea.

4 [TE] Lotus Petal
4 [U] Dark Ritual

4 [MR] Goblin Charbelcher
2 [ROE] Ancient Stirrings
4 [TSP] Lotus Bloom

Obviously this is a 25 construct version of charbelcher combo. Turn 1 metalworker unattested into turn 2 charbelcher is actually surprisingly good in this format. Also I have the infinite mana combo with metalworker and voltaic which can pump dragon engine. While analyzing this deck you have to keep in mind that no one in my meta will have force of wills, and many people will be playing aggro builds of their bad tribe. I feel like this deck has a great chance if I can get it to at least 70% chance to win by turn 4. Does anyone have ideas for this deck?

I was also thinking about blue white with stuffy doll and guilty conscience.... i would play silence/ohim chant with isochron scepter and probably remand if I could fit it.

this format would suck less if those creature types were only banned as your deck's tribe, and not altogether. i doubt they really need banning anyway though

Agreed. But that's how they made it.

Do you think charbelcher is good enough with 25 constructs in the deck? Or should I go for the blue white nonsense? I'm sure there's some kind of aggro I could build too....

Also, I'm not positive, but I think M11 will be out when I need to have this deck ready. So what's something to consider.

I'd go stuffy doll -> guilty conscience. Pieces are tutorable with Enlightened Tutor, and you could also go with thopter foundry -> sword of the meek which is cheaper. Oh BTW, best construct ever comes out in M11:

Steel Overseer 2

Artifact Creature - Construct

T: put a +1/+1 counter on each artifact creature you control

1/1

Edit: Staff of domination -> metalworker, draw your deck, play this guy, make all your dudes 1000/1000 sounds good Very Happy

This is my new list so far.... it's not running super hot as of right now... any ideas? I had thoughtcast in there, but I just can't fit it and all of the combo pieces in. >.<

I had 2 counterspell in too in case of other combo decks.... I had to cut that too... stupid constructs. :/
