hey there everyone!

this is my first attempt to build a deck so i got no skillz^^

please leave comments what you think of it and maybe sideboard suggestions Smile

// Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)

// Lands (3Cool
4 [WWK] Lavaclaw Reaches
4 [WWK] Raging Ravine
4 [ALA] Jungle Shrine
4 [ALA] Savage Lands
4 [ALA] Seaside Citadel
4 [WWK] Stirring Wildwood
4 [ALA] Arcane Sanctum
4 [WWK] Celestial Colonnade
2 [WWK] Creeping Tar Pit
4 [ALA] Crumbling Necropolis

// Creatures (4)
3 [ARB] Enigma Sphinx
1 [ARB] Enlisted Wurm

// Spells (1Cool
4 [ARB] Terminate
2 [ZEN] Journey to Nowhere
2 [ARB] Deny Reality
2 [ARB] Bituminous Blast
2 [ARB] Violent Outburst
4 [M10] Doom Blade
2 [ARB] Ardent Plea

// Sideboard
SB: 4 [WWK] Chain Reaction

sideboard is not full yet.

the idea is to controll the game, thats why i play terminate, doom blade and ardent plea. if i dont have one of those cards on my hand to remove i still can cast ardent plea or violent outburst which can only be cascaded to those 3 removals.

the start of a game is pretty slow as all of my lands come into play tapped.

What do you think of my deck?
please be polite Smile

First: take out most of the cards except:

2 [WWK] Lavaclaw Reaches

4 [WWK] Raging Ravine

4 [ALA] Savage Lands

Second: add a few more lands

4 [ZEN] Verdant Catacombs

3 [H09] Mountain

4 [H09] Forest

2 [M10] Dragonskull Summit

1 [H09] Rootbound Crag

3 [H09] Swamp

These will replace most of the lands you had before. These are generally better lands than:
4 [ALA] Seaside Citadel
4 [WWK] Stirring Wildwood
4 [ALA] Arcane Sanctum
4 [WWK] Celestial Colonnade
2 [WWK] Creeping Tar Pit
I'm sure you will see why when...

Third: add a few creatures to your deck:
4 [ALA] Sprouting Thrinax
4 [ARB] Putrid Leech
3 [ALA] Broodmate Dragon
4 [ARB] Bloodbraid Elf
These are some pretty good starter cards, creatures are a good way to build a deck. Especially for YOUR deck.

fourth:add a few spells
2 [HOP] Rampant Growth
3 [DDD] Garruk Wildspeaker
4 [ALA] Blightning
4 [M10] Lightning Bolt
2 [ARB] Bituminous Blast
3 [ARB] Maelstrom Pulse
These are some pretty basic elimination, card advantage and cascade themed cards. It is pretty much the theme of the deck you are trying to build at this point so keep up the good work!

and finally: some help with your sideboard

SB: 4 [M10] Great Sable Stag
SB: 4 [10E] Deathmark
SB: 1 [SOK] Pithing Needle
SB: 2 [ARB] Terminate
SB: 2 [M10] Master of the Wild Hunt
SB: 2 [PT] Mind Rot

These are some good hosers to answer to many of the color combos in standard right now!
So remember, follow these simple steps and your deck will probably become a champion!

WOW this deck looks awesome you should call it something sick do you have any ideas???

I was thinking something short and simple that reflected the colors that it plays, you know how like WUB decks are called Esper??? Yeah maybe we could call this one GRB or Dunj or something.

I was actually thinking somewhere along the lines of.....GBR lightning bolt control combo. But You might call it bloodcascadegarrukwildspeaker control. I don't think you could possibly make anything shorter tho.

OP might want to add a few KOZILEK, BUTCHER OF TRUTHS when rise of the eldrazi come out. Becuase you don't need to worry about the colors of the card. And it really fits this deck's mana curve

In the current incarnation of the deck, you seem to be running 30 lands, many of which 'do stuff', like being manlands.

Treasure hunt may well be good? It'll probably net you at least one card advantage Smile
