zelda, A link to the past

I can't get past the second crystal palace in the dark world. I can barely even get into it. What I've done is transport to the light world outside the palace, then enter the water gate and pull the switch on the right, transport back, go up the ladder, through the door, down, bombed the hole in the wall, got the key, down, through the door to the right, go all the way to the left, went into the room up top, got the key, back down, up the ladder on the right, through the door, blow the hole in the wall, got the items, and nowhere to go after that. it looks like the ladder on the left in the previous room is a half-ladder and you need to flood the room, but I don't know where to flood the room at, and the statue that is blocking the path to the door on the left won't move. I'm stuck! I've got the walkthrough, but it says nothing about how to get past this.

I've played the game and beat it, but yeah, you should go into better discription about it... Not just crappy directions...
