I runed a similar deck...
Commador01 is right, a couple of Jwar are all you need on it
The rest of the deck its nice, depending on what you want, and how you like to play...
Personal opinion, I liked to play with wall of denial... Helps a lot
And Jace of corse... I prefer to play with jace instead of Esper Charm...
As I say, depends a lot on how you like to play...
But at least put the Jwar on...That one, you really gona need it!
I totally agree with Commador01 |

| the UWB control deck from the past trial is pretty good. I took out vampire nighthawk (didn't seem to fit) and added O.Ring (not sure if its the best option). Spreading Seas is an amazing card in a lot of matchups, and should be main deck in any control deck with blue in it, seriously. |

BS angels are good. But they are almost guaranteed to die in this removal heavy meta. I'd run 2-3 Jwar Isle instead and perhaps no angels at all. This will turn all of opponent's removal into dead card.
Day of judgement is NOT good enough now that Eldrazi green is a serious deck. I tried a control deck and Eldrazi totally owns any deck relying on DoJ to clear the board.
Wall of denial is good too.
It's hard to build a control deck. You somehow need to deal with Jund's constant 2 for 1's. You somehow need to be able to deal with flying indestructible elves. You somehow must not lose to fast aggro like bushwhacker. You must also be able to deal with the inevitability of Emeria aggro. |

| eldrazi can usually get hit with a wrath before it hits play because they kind of are forced to over extend into it...and you have negates also i think 4 baneslayers.... Sphinx of steel winds is unremovable minus path...hes really good |

The basic truth is that "True Control" is unplayable in this format. Without blockers you are doomed, and if you wait too long even the most intense card-drawing engine will fail to provide you with enough answers vs the threats people play nowadays.
So control needs to take the initiative much earlier than what was the case before, and it needs a lot more than 3 win conditions, since 99% of all decks runs lots of creature removal and will have a hand full of them once you drop one of your Angels. One Negate in backup won't be nearly enough.
I would say that no non-combo deck should have less than 15 creatures. That number isn't definite, but it should be a guideline. |

Dealing with Eldrazi, there are a couple of ways... Since you have WUB, we look for answers in those colors: Blue's bounce spells can in theory render the monument without something to sacrifice. White's removal is nearly all exiling, so it also works to keep creatures off the board. Black's removal... It has a few cards that reduce toughness (Disfigure) but not enough to overcome the monument, in general. Black, as a color, is at a disadvantage when playing against Eldrazi. (Of course, as it tends to be alot better when playing against Any Other Deck...)
Black is the worst color to deal with Eldrazi because it doesn't really have anything to stop it. Every other color has *something*. Shatter, Naturalize, Kor Sanctifiers... For fun times you can even bounce the monument with Into the Roil.
As for deck advice, I agree with the others in running Jwar Isle Sphinx instead of Baneslayer. Consider putting Pithing Needle in sideboard, perhaps instead of Identity Crisis? |
