Any server or port I try I get the following:
* [10053] Software caused connection abort
How do I fix this ?  |

That error in particular can mean any number of things...
1) Check your firewall and any security applications you're running. There could be an issue there.
2) Some other software and/or virus is blocking the port. Do a portscan, check any recently installed software and if you can boot into safe mode with networking and see if you can connect to IRC then. |
