i know you like the gatekeeper and all but i honestly would take it out for either bit blast or fleshbag only b/c they do the same and i agree with you on the reason your playing him, but if you wait a turn to play the bbe what good does it do to sit in you hand a turn while they cast another creature so then they wont be sacing say the creaure you want when you can say 1st turn bird 2nd turn blightning they got a second turn thrinax or sable then your gonna be hit in the face next turn unless you have a bolt or term in hand their for making it better to play the maurader in my opinion heck you could just cast a second turn murauder just to knock down their mana excel 1 killing bird 2 noble 3 kobra
it's not much of an advantage card i give you that, but the perfect cad to slow decks down, now i don't know if i would play just to blood ghast main deck you have to see a card for it to help u or recur maybe replace it adding in a pulse and a bolt so

-2 blood ghast main -1 sideboard
+1 pulse + 1 terminate or 1 bolt
-pulse sideboard - terminate sideboard
+ 4 Duress sideboard -gatekeeper sideboard

no pump for nighthawk

everything in the deck has a really low cc except sorin
if you dropped sorin you could drop a land or 2 in addition to get 3-4 slots for more cheap spells

This thread has turned into a bad Jund list. Play a stock Vampires list, include the stuff that wins games (Vampire Nocturnus, Malakir Bloodwitch, Mind Sludge) and add in Bituminous Blast, Blightning and possibly Lightning Bolt.

muskogee. thanks for the list i like the idea of taking out gatekeeper but bloodgast has won me more games than any other creature in the deck. i really like the new sideboard you made i played with it just now and determined that w/o sadistic sac in the board i would have lost badly. thx for the help!!
