Hey its been along time since I did one of these but I am back, I wound up with a pretty awsome deck and thanks to a series of critical misplays by my round 1 opponent i ended up winning the draft. My picks are probably still a little off this is prob an understament as i am a few weeks behind you guys.

I cast this after trying to busrt ligntning the green +1+1 for each foest dude, he responed with the +1+1 for each forest in hand spell, then I mrked of munityed and swung for 17 for the win, if my opponent had saced his shrine and cast the spell before on his 4/5 regenerator, he would he have enough damage to kill me.

After drafting this I played another draft and played the worst game of magic i have played in sometime I punted both games, granted my opponent top decked game 1 but still, my opponent must have thought what a noob Im going to get no points for this, I imagine he was shocked with the 9 he got that knocked me back down to 1850, really dont deserve my rating when i play games like that.

Your draft was reaaallly straight-forward, however I think I would've taken the Quest for the Gravelord Pack 2 Pick 1 because its insane Razz but your deck ended up being ridiculously aggresive so I think the Lacerator ended up being better than usual... Yeah... seems good tho xD

I think goblin shortcutter was the pick p3p1. You already have spire barage, meaning you want as many mountains as possible, and that is hard to do if you need your first land of the game to be a swamp. Add in the fact that while both are good early, shortcutter is also relevant late in the game as a way to punch through damage, and I think shortcutter would have added more to your deck overall. Other than that it was pretty well drafted IMO.

I think you really need to work on your hate drafting. You passed a metric ton of good green spells in favor of stuff you weren't going to use. You need to make every pick count. Taking things like caller of gales over a quest for the gemblades really shows that you need better card assessment skills. Quest is uncommon for a reason. 2 mana for 4 +1/+1 counters is no joke. That spell wins games.

I see that the quest prob was the pick, Im still not settled on how much I like the various quests.

I totally agree that the goblin shortcutter over the lacerator was the pick I already had 2 at the time so i had prob forced myself already into playing atleast 7 swamps but it would have helped my consistancy, I did mull at least once every round often due to colour issues.

Great draft, great deck. My one piece of criticism would probably have to be Pack 3 Pick 6. You already have 2 Plated Geopedes, there is no reason to not pick Explorer's Scope here. Other than that, it all seems good and straight forward:)

I will go into more depth when i know the format more and are confidant on my opinions, this was only my 2nd draft and though I'd done a few pre-release sealeds, theres still alot of cards i do not recognise by name.

I'm more than happy if there are any specific picks you are interested in to give my logic but I am still learning the format.

I am about to put up another draft I've gone into a little more detail on this.

I also have the refuge but I am alot more red than any other colour, so between this barrage and ravager, I wanted as much red as possible, 8 black sources is more than enough for what I had so i could run 10 mounatins.
