Xbox 360 madness on Ebay

So I call my parents to wish them a Happy Turkey day, and my Mom asks me what I want for Christmas. I say the usual, "I don't need anything." Then we got on the topic of gifts for everyone else, and she tells me about how she was looking on ebay for an Xbox 360 for my younger siblings. What she found completely amazed me. People shelling out an average of $2,500(us) for a $400(us) game system. I realize it is Christmas time, and it was recently released and now sold out, but seriously....

"Merry Christmas son, we got you an Xbox 360. We used your College Fund to pay for it. But its ok, we just spent $20,000 on something to rot your mind, so why bother going to college? And heres a t-shirt"

IMO, I would rather wait till after the holidays and get it cheap. Or even wait for PS3.

Lol, yeah thats what my mom was telling me she wanted to do. Buy 4, resell them 3 of them, then keep one at no charge. But I think the only reason the 360 is so high is because its Christmas shopping time, and its sold out.

it doesnt look like nebody bought that for 2,000. If you check on ebay now there going from about $500-$700 which still is a good deal for a $300 system.

Personally, I don't care if someone were to cut me a deal at 500 for one.... Ill be patient and wait for them to come back in stock and get it for regular price (but HAH! Im waiting for PS3) If I had a kid that wanted one, and I didn't have one, I would get it on reserve, and buy it for regular price a couple weeks later.
