Wouldn't Baneslayer Angel be a better lifegain win condition?
I mean, why Vampires? White and Red surely has enough control deck cards? You could always add blue if you want card drawing. All the black cards in your deck costs double black. |

| I'd suggest taking out Bloodghast, he isn't that useful in your deck. Perhaps swapping him for the Duress would help. Also, Ajani Vengeant is not a creature <<; |

It not really a vampire deck...no nocturnus. Vengent Vamps is more of a coincidence than a name. It's a Black - White control deck that splashes red for ajani blightning and pyroclasm. The new fetches help with this mana build. It happens that the creatures are all vampires. They just work quite well with the rest of the deck.
Bloodghast is a constant threat, while the nighthawk plays a kitchen finks type role, a body for blocking and stalling while providing some life gain. The witch is tech and finisher. I used witch over the baneslayer because of how it avoids a lot removal. Since i don't have very many creatures my opponent will most likely be holding on to some. Plus the witch handles opponents baneslayers no problem.
why swap bloodghast that's already good vs. control for a card that is only good vs. control...that's why duress is in board
plus i don't have that many creatures as it is why would I drop any
No blue because it sucks...sure there is card draw...jace is the only good one and he is UU1. Sign in Blood is the best card draw cause its quick...i can dump bloodghast on the draw....and its not in a terrible color. Getting double black is no problem I have 18 sources of black so. I've never had a problem with the mana in this deck.
I've had pretty good matchups, I think the deck has the tools to beat most of the meta and jund which it goes about 50/50. |

| Malakir Bloodwitch doesn't stop jund to deal you last 3 damage by attacking with 2 creatures |

Malakir Bloodwitch doesn't stop jund to deal you last 3 damage by attacking with 2 creatures
He's saying that because Malakir does not have first strike damage, if on turn 5 you play bloodwitch, you cannot stop jund from dealing the last 3 damage by attacking with 2 creatures, where if you had a 1st striking baneslayer you would be able to get first strike damage off first, gain 5 life, and survive the turn. |

I like how you added more colours to the Vampire shell. The Mono black version was too 1 dimensional and predictable (and awful).
Maybe you should play the Baneslayers maindeck and the Bloodwitches in the board. The Bloodwitch could really mess up the white slower decks and have the Baneslayers for the Jund and aggro matchups.
Well, it looks neat, GL with it. |

i have tested baneslayers MD. Like i said before, the slayers usually get nuked while the witch is more resilient.
Switching Bloodghast for baneslayer would totaly screw up my already high curve
IDK why people hate on bloodghast. The card is awesome against control, mill, planeswalkers. Having a constant threat coupled with a lot of removal (15 ways to remove creatures MD), the way is often paved for the ghast without having to pay extra mana or use extra cards. The ghast is often a major source of damage for this deck.
I don't understand that argument about jund attacking with two creatures. I'm playing a control deck with 15 ways to deal with creatures, plus 20 after side vs. jund...If they have multiple creatures and I'm at 3 or less life then I've probably already lost, and it's most likely due to some well timed blightnings and/or some ridiculous cascading.
Additionally, I could also see how the witch would be better because of the instant life gain. If the opponent has a terminate, or pulse, that extra life could put me out of lethal range, while a baneslayer would do nothing. |
