I'm pretty sure that even if you use the Needles to name the Fetches, getting 2 mana per land played and tapped is still pretty decent...
Just run more removal instead of Needles and kill the damn snake. |

I think birds is better, since you can get mana off of it even when you don't play a land this turn, and you can also get mana off of birds in your opponent's turn, wich can be important in some cases.

Um... if you still have a land drop when you play it, its mana the turn it comes out. Birds can't do that. also, with regards to land on your opponents turn, fetch land means being, any of the 3 forms, (that includes the crapy panorama's of coarse), or any other instant land fetch that will be swarming in the block, means mana produxction on your opponents turn is need be. While maintaining an open blocker if needed. This card will be worth way more then birds are currently, and certainly then they will be when this LAND intensive block hits. |
