If an opponent plays a planeswalker can I kill it with 2x lightning bolt (for example) before he uses its ability?

sorry, I meant to say during their mainphase. When you play a planeswalker you gain priority after it has resolved, right? So it's impossible to prevent a planeswalker ability from going on the stack with the 2x bolts?

your opponent will have a chance to use it before you can respond with lightning bolts.

unless, of course, he passes priority for some reason or uses some other ability/spell before using the planeswalker ability and then passes priority.
