how do i remove tenth edition from the standard format filter??

delete the set and re-add it (tools -> analyze/add/remove sets)

yes, you do need the text spoiler for 10E

(you can also wait for the mws to come up with an update for m10 if it hasn't yet)

are you sure that would work?
everytime you add a new edittion it is considered standard by MWS, why would it not take it as standard this time?

download the slightlymagic base and data. Then the filters will be correct
