Ravnica Guild Wars

Two post in one:
First I was thinking of a constructed format using the Ravnica Block with the following rules:
Each deck must be based on one of the guilds.
You may only have two colors in your deck.
You may not have cards in your deck that belong to another guild or use another guilds mechanics.

Second I am thinking of making deck for each guild for muliplayer games, similar to the old Battle Royale box set which I have and thought about putting back together. But with the block mechanics I am not sure it would make a good game as the Battle Royal decks (which I added cards to).

Any opinions/comments/suggestions would be welcome.

1. I am 100% enthused about this format, and want to play it.

2. Back in the heyday of Ravnica, my "house rules" for an almost identical format, which never really got off the ground, was to include only cards with the signet watermark for the guild decks (aside from basic lands). Granted, the flavor skyrockets, but the mechanics are horribly shrunk.

Where would this format go? Would there be minis or other similar events using either the rules above with or without my modification?

And what about the "Shard wars" using the list of card/shard alliances as related by an Ask Wizards response?
