Why is Incinerate not in standard anymore? did they feel 2 mana for 3 damage was somehow broken, but 1 mana for 3 is legit?

For burn we now have 1 red lightning bolt and 3 red flame javelin. This seems intelligent. It's awesome how terminate hasn't been in standard for 5 - 6 years and now it's in, but a staple card like incinerate somehow doesn't exist anymore. Pacifism however, is back in format, along with a few other near useless cards.

Now what, is blightning aggro really all about cheap burn, small creatures, removal and hand disruption now. I don't even know if mono red will be viable after zendicar releases, unless they actually reprint incinerate then. I'm just angry because in 1 day mogg fanatic and incinerate have left standard probably forever. This game is now about fat beats and counter magic, please come back next year to see if they fix there mistakes.

I'm really not understanding what your problem is. You like Incinerate more than bolt? I'm confused.

What's the big deal about Fanatic going? Were you this upset when Kird Ape left?

how is the game now about counter-magic? It's not like counterspell or mana leak came back.

Er...they replace incinerate with lightning bolt, and you complain incinerate has gone?? Red decks get better and you say they are no longer playable!

Don't forget that Lightning Bolt still allows a creature to be regenerated! Wink
