Hello everyone within the ML community! I want to wish you all the best of luck for those of you attending any of the regionals tomorrow and I hope you do place and do well enough to qualify for nats. For those of you who won't be playing (Probably because I don't have a deck of my own to play with), I would highly recommend to still pay attention to how these tournaments turn out.

I wanted to leave some insight and maybe cause some trolling or speculation on the meta right now and what you may see come this event and what to look out for. For many of you who want a clear answer to what to replace your fairy deck to...then maybe you should on...

I feel that the biggest surpriser to tomorrow's tournament will be no surprise to us here on ML and to many will be Jund Ramp making a terrific return to the format with many wins across the board. This is due se in part to the addition of Maelstrom Pulse which has been keeping token decks since it's addition to the format. The new builds to Jund have serious playability and I feel are going to be the sleeper in the format to strike fire all across the board. From my personal experience, I do prefer the version that runs both the Pulse and Fallouts for control and everyone has come up with their own tweaks with even the addition of Lavalanche recently here on ML. LSV has recently made an article that has hit headway with everyone challenging Jund as a thing of the past. I do not have the credentials to argue and refute his points, however I do believe it to be wrong to underestimate this deck. I look forward to finding out about that really soon...

Old Faithful to my eyes and a deck I consistently enjoy playing is B/W Tokens which will continue to do well and I can argue that it will at least hit a top 8 at least once per event. With the addition of Zealous Persecution and others attempting to run Redcaps, Flitters, Knight of the White Orchid and other variations to the deck; it will still remain the deck to beat come gametime. As a result I expect much hate and probably one of the reason why I predict it to do well but not be showing up as much on the end result.

G/W Overrun is the next deck to take up the token ladder and my pick for a good amount of placings for Regionals. Even with the addition of a Zealous Persecution to aid B/W, Wilt Leaf Liege will be the turn 3 play to keep those spirts alive and attacking. Add Qasai Pridemage for a MD or sb option and that takes care of those pesky BB or even Anthems that will make the difference in that matchup. The ability to Overrun even with tokens is just nuts and to top it off is just fun to play. The addition of Dauntless Escort to protect the board aids in this endeavor and to top it off just throw in a Garruk and Ajani for kicks. This deck brings back old memories of just playing tons of Squirrels/Elves and either using Might of Oaks or just Vitalizing Wind to completely dominate and win. I think this deck will do just fine.

5cc will continue to make an apperance regardless of Anathemancer lying around. Many people may go in with Blightning decks but regardless the deck has so many options now. I have not seen any improvements to Nassif's build since the deck dominated Kyoto and Pre-ARB but still can provide a nusance for aggro decks. Since I am not a fan of control decks persay, I will just leave it as that lol...

U/W Lark will be both fun and exciting to see the inventiveness to utilize both the Borderposts and Knight of the White Orchid to make agonizing long games. With the addition of Pollen Lullaby, these decks can get stronger over time. I recently came across a deck playing both Pollen Lullaby and Ethersworn Canonist to make games go turn go turn go. Talk about forcing choices...the only problem will be the # of lands and if can handle the initial aggro, but if that deck gets going and can protect itself well enough, it can be a game ender with the turns that go on. Primal Command and Identity Crisis will be the two cards to hurt this deck and unfortunately they are in the two decks that will be seen more prevelant @ regionals.

Fairies and Blightning will both be seen at this format as well. I still feel Blightning Beatdowns even with Bloodbraid Elf will have a tricky time that Burrenton Forge Tender will still be around. Fairies still seems viable and will have to be able to deal with more now than ever, but I feel that it will come up short in the long run towards the later Swiss Rounds...

Boat Brew/Kithkin/and other R/W variants of decks will have a tougher time now that Pulse and Zealous are in the hands of two more popular decks. I still feel that Boat Brew will still be viable but there still seems too much stacked against it.

I cannot forgot that Twinsanity will still be relevant and may come out with some catches this Saturday. The deck has a great chance versus all decks and with a bit of luck and the right amount of mana symbols this deck will show up as a 2-0 3-0 surpriser from the start.

G/B Rock decks will show up for the gutsy and may pay off in return. I have never doubted this deck in the past and has shown back and forth again and again to be able to win in the format. Add Maelstrom Pulse to this deck for more removal. The only thing that will jepordize this deck will be a mirror or a Jund matchup with Chameleon on the board.

All in Green has been another surpriser to people but has also played and placed well. I am looking forward to seeing people play their variations of this deck but I expect much enchant hate to B/W. For that being said,

So for my predictions I expected Jund to come out on top with G/W being a close 2nd with a couple of B/W Token decks.

Well I'm bringing WW Kithkin just because I don't have a lot of the expensive rares in real life as I quit magic about 4 months ago and sold my Tarmogoyfs/Garruks/etc. and Kithkin is most likely the cheapest deck since I have most Lorwyn stuff anyway. All I had to buy was a few Ajani's since I sold my old ones on ebay with the others, and Figure of Destiny/Spectral Processions. That being said, I don't think Kithkin or myself will do that well, lol. I see most regionals being won by either GW Tokens or Jund Ramp/5CC Control/BW Tokens after that. There might be TurboFog/Mill, Kithkin, Boatbrew, AIG and other stuff, but those first few decks will be the meat of tomorrow's regional decklist. I'm just hoping that I don't travel 3 hours to Philadelphia tomorrow and then lose 3 rounds in a row, damn it lol.

P.S: For the guy above: If he is so wrong and you don't know where to start...then why don't you actually start? Why troll someone's message and not actually give your thoughts about regionals. What do you think is going to be good, Goblins? =/

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he mentioned about 10 or so different decks that he thinks will be doing good, not just Jund Ramp. But I guess whenever your rogue deck loses to Jund Ramp or tokens, then you'll look back at this post and realize who's actually retarded.

Thanks I appreciate it. I tested my deck against my friends that are going with me, who are running AIG, and tokens, and Kithkin look pretty good against them. Good luck to everyone going to regionals tomorrow, no matter what deck they decide to run. Very Happy

Monowhite kithkins, right, OH NOES IT HAD BLACK!!!!

Why are you all beeing such dicks, the dude makes no sense everyone and their mother knows that you either play BW tokens or something that beats it, period.

And no, jund ramp doesn't beat tokens, so how on earth is it going to be the most played deck?! LEARN TO READ LOSERS.

So, anyone else is still in the mood of selfpwnage?
