I'm going to be having a reconstructive foot surgery in a couple of weeks that will sideline completely me for about 3 months. I haven't played videogames sine high school but I figured that this would be a good time to fire up the old PS2. My question is, does anyone reccomend any First Person Shooters that have good online deathmatch play? I used to really enjoy Counterstrike and Unreal Tournament and was hoping their might be a good PS2 game out right now that is similar. Thanks for your help!

The Star Wars Battlefronts I enjoy.

Though, if you've got a fast computer, I highly recommend getting the PC versions - aiming on the computer is by far more reflexive.

And if you're going to get PC games, Combat Arms is a great one, and free (mostly. Try it and you'll see).

EDIT: And good luck with the surgery. Here's hoping to a quick recovery.

I appreciate the ideas, I'll have to check out some game reviews for those two and see which one I would like best. And sadly I no longer have a desktop (it was my parents so when I moved out I got a laptop), so only PS2 games online for me.

Some of us can't afford new systems, you know.

And surgery isn't exactly cheap, either.

EDIT: Sorry, that was rude.

Well, now, there is that.

I should know that, too, that I can see Canada from where I'm sitting. (I could be vice pres! Or, heck, president, what with the Palin 2012 cr*p)

I heard Killzone was really good from a few people, I'll for sure have to look more into that one. Thank you all for your help and your kind words.

you could always branch out into RPGS...

final fantasy XII should keep you entertained for a good month or more, and is one of the best games for that system

OMG!!! I feel you man. I am have surgery on my big toe to take out some chipped bone and reattach my tendon because I broke it in a freak accident. Hmm. Well I could play magic for an infinite amount of time but if your board of that I would recommend Bloons Tower Defense (its a flash game) or something like Unreal Tournament or something.

Good luck!

Best regards,
Mushmellow
