chances of you getting 2 simians in opening hand AND a forest/green mana land AND violent outburst AND 3 fatties is a little sketchy... the deck seems fun though. I just don't know that it consistant enough to win big games

I think the creatures your playing are far from optimal, it should probably use similar creatures to what tooth and nail used but more of them, certainly wants sundering titan, probably 4 of them. Also Darksteal Collosus feels alot better than many of your creatures except Pte there is not much that can be done about it. Similary kiki jiki should at least be a one off.

Unlike tooth and nail this deck cant choose what creatures it has in its hand, so running kiki means you have to draw it + a creature thats worth copying. Even worse you could end up with only Kiki + legendary creatures in hand.

The main problem with this deck is it cant win unless hypgenesis resolves...which is a problem cause it can easily be countered.

Well kiki was a maybe if your running titans and DS's I would play 1, all the one off legends I do not like the point stands thats the creatures he is playing are not the best creatures. It makes alot more sense to include multiples of creatures that have synergy with each other than just lots of big dudes, Razia Boros Arch Angel is so far from optimal. Its not even the best big dudes.

This is the version that I came up with yesterday. Sundering Titan and Colossus were a pretty obvious addition to me because of how strong they were. I also like Wild Pair in the deck because just that plus one other creature in hand is like having two creatures and that plus two creatures is four creatures. It also allows for some tutoring. An example of this would be dropping an angel of despair and searching for Bringer of the Red Dawn if you are going against a deck that plays fatties. I threw this together fairly quickly so there may be some creatures that are better. I like Blue Dawn because it allows me to rebuild my hand quickly so I can drop more creatures later in the game. To me, it seems like every version should play Wild Pair. If you drop one colossus with it, you can get two. Also, with Akroma, you can grab another Akroma with it. It just seems really strong in this deck.

// Lands
4 [TSB] Gemstone Mine
3 [TSP] Gemstone Caverns
4 [DIS] Pillar of the Paruns
4 [CHK] Forbidden Orchard
2 [SHM] Reflecting Pool
4 [BOK] Tendo Ice Bridge

// Creatures
3 [GP] Angel of Despair
4 [DS] Sundering Titan
4 [DS] Darksteel Colossus
4 [PLC] Simian Spirit Guide
1 [TSB] Akroma, Angel of Wrath
1 [PLC] Akroma, Angel of Fury
1 [ARB] Sphinx of the Steel Wind
4 [FD] Bringer of the Blue Dawn
1 [FD] Bringer of the Red Dawn

// Spells
3 [TSP] Hypergenesis
1 [ARB] Violent Outburst
4 [ARB] Demonic Dread
4 [PLC] Wild Pair
4 [ARB] Ardent Plea

One other thing, I like the bringers in the deck because they are an easy 5 drop with this deck's mana for after using hypergenesis turn 1-3. I think to make this better though, I should maybe use a 4 vivid lands instead of tendo ice bridge because after I resolve hypergenesis, it cannot produce coloured mana anymore.

Sorry I didn't realize that Wild Pair doesn't work, but I still think Colossus is good in the deck because almost every creature dies to path, but they also die to terror, terminate, putrefy, wrath of god, etc. And aside from surviving those, he also tramples for 11. I don't think a card should be dismissed just because there is one answer.

There is a fundamental difference between an answer and a card that will get rid of the fatty you tried to win with.

Shroud is the most important ability at this point. I have spent a lot of time with this deck.

Why not play Darksteel Colossus with other shroud creatures as well though?

4 [FD] Bringer of the Blue Dawn
4 [CFX] Inkwell Leviathan

1 [DIS] Simic Sky Swallower

// Spells
3 [TSP] Hypergenesis
1 [ARB] Violent Outburst
4 [ARB] Demonic Dread
4 [ARB] Ardent Plea

How is this for a new build? Gemstone Caverns seems like a good land because it can make it turn 1 or 2 more easily than just having a simian spirit guide. Also, would it be better to choose draw with this deck so you have more cards in hand for when hypergenesis resolves as well as being able to gemstone caverns.

I know the card limitations are severe, but there has to be a way for this deck to play some interactive cards. I can't think of anything in the extended cardpool offhand (Unmask would be perfect if legal), but there has to be something. The Ingot Chewers in the 3rd place deck from the trial's sideboard are in the right direction.
