//Land
1 Plains
1 Flooded Grove
2 Mystic Gate
3 Brushland
2 Yavimaya Coast
3 Reflecting Pool
2 Island
3 Forest
1 Vivid Meadow
2 Vivid Creek
3 Vivid Grove

//Creatures
1 Progenitus
1 Inkwell Leviathan
3 Birds of Paradise
4 Noble Hierarch
3 Cephalid Constable
4 Maelstrom Archangel
3 Wall of Reverence
1 Knollspine Dragon

//Spells
3 Time Stretch
3 Cryptic Command
3 Cancel
1 Cruel Ultimatum
4 Kaleidostone
3 Path to Exile

// Sideboard:
SB: 3 Pyroclasm
SB: 2 Wrath of God
SB: 3 Celestial Purge
SB: 3 Pithing Needle
SB: 2 Negate
SB: 2 Remove Soul

So the main idea in this deck is to Counter/Board remove until you can get a Maelstrom Archangel out. Once one is out you get to play Very Expensive cards for free Especially Time Stretch. One of those goes off and you are almost certain to win. This deck also has the Cephalid Constable/Exalted combo which if played early enough can be enough to win games. The sideboard is full of more removal and counters in case you are playing a much faster deck. Anyway it seems to be able to hold its own against many decks, but I am always looking for input.

Its really not that great, unless you have a perfect hand it is very very slow and the removal can not keep up with any aggro deck, maelstrom is very easy to stop by just about any deck even if you can win by swinging once, you have to swing once without being

pathed, countered, wrathed, sowered, chump blocked, ringed, naya charmed, or tapped

its a cool idea but in the few games I tried I only won because I was able to hard cast the big spells, never once swung with maelstrom

this deck needs card draw besides knoll and to decide if its fast aggro or control, because a control deck could just wait to hard cast those spells

Way too slow and very low control over creatures, although the angel with the big spells is a good trick, once you play one angel it is very likely to be removed out of game, on the other hand, unless you combine the big spells with angel, they could get you stuck for quite a while with that huge cost

I've been messing with this deck for sometime and I believe I have come up with some answers that are stunning.

//Lands
1 Plains
1 Flooded Grove
1 Mystic Gate
3 Brushland
2 Yavimaya Coast
3 Reflecting Pool
2 Island
2 Forest
1 Vivid Meadow
2 Vivid Creek
3 Vivid Grove
2 Exotic Orchard

//Creatures
1 Elvish Piper
2 Broodmate Dragon
1 Progenitus
3 Birds of Paradise
2 Noble Hierarch
4 Maelstrom Archangel
3 Wall of Reverence
3 Mulldrifter

//Spells
3 Time Stretch
3 Cryptic Command
3 Cancel
1 Cruel Ultimatum
4 Kaleidostone
3 Path to Exile
1 Dramatic Entrance

// Sideboard:
SB: 2 Celestial Purge
SB: 3 Pyroclasm
SB: 2 Wrath of God
SB: 2 Remove Soul
SB: 2 Negate
SB: 3 Pithing Needle
SB: 1 Avatar of Might

The only major changes have been in the choices of creatures and why. I took the constable out because if I didn't draw him first he was a dead card. Replaced him with Mulldrifter, never a dead card. Took the NON-Green creatures out and replaced them with Broodmates, which are green so I can dramatic them in and are heavy hitters themselves, plus aren't too hard to hard cast. Added dramatic entrance and Elvish Piper. I may end up taking the piper out and just adding another Dramatic Entrance since hate for the Piper seems a little high. I just don't own 2 Dramatic Entrances yet... I also added Avatar of Might to my sideboard for such decks that can make guys too fast for me to deal with, that's fine I'll just get a very cheap 8/8 Trample. Lastly I have modified the land for 2 Orchards since most people tend to be playing with Vivid lands Orchards are as good as a Pool, well very close anyway.

I might have played you on mws (or someone with a very similar deck). Ended up losing to a hardcast progenitus off 2 kaleidostones Smile

It seems a fun deck for sure.

4 cryptic command > 3 cryptic command, always. also > cancel. 4 CC 2 cancel would be better than 3 and 3 imo.

I have been testing a deck like this for awhile... it is pretty close to that one. I will share.

// Lands
1 [ALA] Plains (1)
2 [EVE] Flooded Grove
1 [SHM] Mystic Gate
4 [SHM] Reflecting Pool
2 [ALA] Island (1)
2 [ALA] Forest (1)
1 [LRW] Vivid Meadow
3 [LRW] Vivid Creek
2 [LRW] Vivid Grove
2 [CNF] Exotic Orchard
2 [EVE] Cascade Bluffs
3 [LRW] Vivid Crag

// Creatures
2 [ALA] Broodmate Dragon
1 [CNF] Progenitus
4 [CNF] Maelstrom Archangel
3 [CNF] Wall of Reverence
3 [LRW] Mulldrifter

// Spells
3 [10E] Time Stretch
4 [LRW] Cryptic Command
1 [ALA] Cruel Ultimatum
4 [CNF] Kaleidostone
3 [CNF] Path to Exile
2 [SHM] Dramatic Entrance
3 [CNF] Volcanic Fallout
2 [LRW] Broken Ambitions

// Sideboard
SB: 1 [CNF] Volcanic Fallout
SB: 2 [CNF] Celestial Purge
SB: 3 [10E] Wrath of God
SB: 2 [10E] Remove Soul
SB: 2 [MOR] Negate
SB: 3 [10E] Pithing Needle
SB: 2 [ALA] Esper Charm

I think my SB needs alittle more work... I haven't had trouble with it so far. I found people start to think I am playing 5cc wich I guess this deck would be in the same category as 5cc.

I have had a lot of fun with this deck... Fallout is MVP for sure... it makes every match up for this deck at least 50/50

in your deck you will be killed by Fae/BW/RW and pretty much any fast aggro without some kind of removal plus you have to clear the way for Archangel.
