I was wondering how others ranked these three scorers who are undeniably the top three offensive players in the game right now.

Alexander Ovechkin
Sidney Crosby
Evgeni Malkin

Personaly I would rank it:

Sidney Crosby
Alexander Ovechkin
Evgeni Malkin

But what do you think...?

BTW: GO RED WINGS!

In terms of pure goal-scoring, Ovechkin. In terms of overall offense, Malkin. Crosby is solid, but not in the same category, just overrated and well set-up.

I think the best forward this year however, is Zach Parise. When you look at his body of work for a defense-first team and the hustle he's put in on every play, home or road, I don't think you can leave him out of discussion for best offensive players. But then, I'm a Devils fanboy. : P

Undeniably the top 3? Get the fuck out. Jarome Iginla is easily a more valuable player than Crosby or Malkin, because a) he is a goalscorer, rather than a playmaker, and b) because he brings a physical aspect to the game that Crosby and Malkin simply don't.

1. Ovechkin
2. Iginla
3. Crosby

those are the top 3, in order.

Hey, Brodeur's got 2 goals in his career. : P

Stevens was a defenseman, the best one ever. I love the amount of Devils attention, but come on, they aren't an offensive team, although the Langenbrunner-Zajac-Parise line stepped it up this season, with some support from the various line combinations Elias has played on.

Any sentence that has "best defensemen ever" but not "Bobby Orr" is auto-wrong.
