The old "as much land destruction as they have lands" plan never works. This deck may beat 5cc if you can keep them off card drawing mana, but as soon as they start mulldriftering, they'll always have more lands than you have sinkholes. This deck would fare poorly versus the aggressive decks, and faeries is an auto-loss.

If you want to kill lands, I reccomend 8-10 land destruction coupled with efficient small threats to chip away while the opp plays catch up on the mana, along with some nice fatties to punish them when they fall behind. Makeshift mannequin + fulminator is cool, since makeshift can be extra land destruction if needed, or just get back your best dood. Same for profane command.

Maybe to start:

4 mogg fanatic
4 figure of destiny
4 br outlander (i forget, but the pro white guy)
4 fulminator mage
4 rain of tears
makeshift mannequin
profane command
shriekmaw
incinerate
terror
bitterblossombanefire
fatty of some sort
etc

I like the idea, only for one reason.
I won 4 rounds straight then lost to those cards you listed.
(EXP:Turn 3 fullminator Mage slow my ass down, Primal Command
Just painful, last but not least...Ugh Violent ultimatum)

A pure land destruction deck will take down a 5cc. Deus of Calamity will keep the 5cc down after you get a foot hold.

Things like volcanic fallout and wrath of god take down aggro decks.

My deck lacks the creativity of the others, but its only focus was to take down 5cc decks. I may try some of the other ideas i see here. Fertile ground and Violent Ultimanium seem nice along with Primal Command.

More importantly why do you want to beat a deck that isn't even 25% of a metagame in a given tournament?

You will see it like twice in a 8 round swiss tournament, so what is the fucking point of winning 2 matches?

Penguinslave: the point is that he will not win any other matchup, and he certainly won't be making any top8 by going x-2.

Why make a LD deck in current standard? RW Cruise, faeries, GW little kid, UGWb Bant would rape it as they don't need that much land and or have land accel/mana accel.
Not to mention someone has already come up with a better strategy all together: called Naya aggro, using Realm Razor.

Last Friday I watched a guy drop a 4th turn Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker. That counts as land destruction, right?

Aja Vengeant can be "land destruction" also

How you drop 4th turn Bolas? 4 Birds in hand FTW?

Here's a fun look at a land destruction deck:

Fulminator mage fits right in to the r/w tutor engine.

4 figure of destiny
4 mogg fanatic
4 flamekin harbinger
1 burrenton forge tender

4 stigma lasher

4 fulminator mage

4 wrath of god
4 ranger of eos
3 ajani vengeant

3 reveillark

5 plains
8 mountain
4 rugged prairie
4 battlefield forge
4 reflecting pool

Haha this is actually doing ok.

Without a SB:

Clawed a win from fae. Lost round 1 to thoughtseize double vendilion clique leaving me with like 7 lands, no spells. Won round 3 with harbinger double fulminator leaving him with 2 lands and a grip full of spells.

Smashed 5cc. This one wasn't even funny, maindeck stigma lasher is win. Not as much win as keeping them off 6 land for both games though.

Beat bant aggro, this one was a bit strange. Reveillark won it, along with blocking huge double striking warmonks with fulminators and sacrificing them before combat damage.

Lost to blightning aggro. Way too fast for this deck. Praying for wrath doesn't make it happen.
