There should be an end of the year tourney, with about a $300 prize pool.

There should also be qualifying tournies the 2 weeks leading up to it.

Invites as follows:
-Top 15 ranked players
-Master Finalists over the year(I would do the winners, but a lot of people split in the finals)
-Winners of qualifying tournies
-Gerrardfo, cuz he's sexay

I am totally on board with that last part. Though if we were to do this, it would be similar to the Legacy master a month and half back; we'd need to advertise for it far in advance, and perhaps have a summation of four weeks of top X people in trials qualify for it, along with ratings, etc. If anything, there definitely should be invites, because having a random person walk on and get lucky is a bit annoying...not that it doesn't happen anyway sometimes.

As for format, doing a divide between formats would be a bit hard on whoever the TC is (whether it be Dehydration or other). He has to work hard with DCI reporter, then he'd have to enter everything into the site. That would mean that he'd enter in everybody for X constructed rounds, then re-enter the players in for limited rounds...we'd have to do Constructed for main formats such as type 2 and extended. Could be a split there, though Koen/Laplie/LordHawk should be consulted with.

Mr-e-Kid Im sorry to say that m-l is all about being free. They never have and will never have a entry fee where you ahve to BUY into it. As for the idea it is a great one but might require a bit more planning and would probally have to start planning right now.

Well it looks like a bunch of people are interested. I'm down for sending in the rares only thing is i don't have any good ones Razz and if i have to send it to europe well.....
Most people seem to want t2 thats what I wanted since I dont really play any other formats But I would still play in it if at has other formats in it, Maybe it should be somthing more simple like sealed as the 2nd format. I wanna know who are the 3 people who said they wouldn't want the tourney BASTARDS Razz!!!

I wanna know does any of the league staff have some views about this idea?

I suggested this once....oh and it got turned down.
I talked to err...laplie? or someone up there any way they said that Masters were big enough and that an annual ML Worlds/Endf of year tourny thing was not needed.

No idea ever gets used unless it reqires NO work from the administrators...they do stuff, they just don't like to do new stuff...lol.
Really if you wanted to do it you'd have to get voulunteer judges and do it unoffically.

Well I really don't think It'll take that much work Exept getting the money which doesn't have to be done and either way most people will gladly accept 2 less masters and a big prize for this tourney. And the judges like that like to run the trials and masters I don't think would mind tc'ing this and qualifiers and stuff. There will definitly have to be some work but it'll attract alot of attention to the league. I assume that most of the admins want this league to be better and hopefully they could go for this idea.

All those plans are nice and all, but did you ever realize how much work a multi day tournament would be?
Not to mention the fact that indeed, dci reporter is needed to run the tourney, and lots of people have problems working with that, also adding to the problems is entering the results in the database.
There are complaints already about how long it takes to enter the master. Also, administration: it is a lot of work to keep track of invites over a longer period. Adding to the problem is the fact that the tourney would be an invite tourney. We have tried the invitational a long period, and it just didnot work. We had invitationals in any format and for some of them only 24 people showed up to play. That is the reason why we changed to the open entries, and the bye system. This way we have tourneys that have a nice turnout, while the regular players are still rewarded.
