| Actually the logic behind is that if someone is holding a gun to there head they can't vote. Also what was the reason provised for not letting the Doctors in, was the fightning to intense to sucessfully get the Doctors, was the hospital taken over as base of operations(All of these are common sense reasons that would make not violating the Geneva Convention a very Dumb move). Also I wouldn't trust the UN voice on any issue on Iraq as they were against the US going and were making Money off of oil for food(I would like to note American Companies were doing this as well mainly Daimler-Chrysler). Also most of the City was evacuated and Blowing up buildings is part of Urban warfare plain and simple, moreover after Fallujah the US poored millions into Iraq specfically to rebuild the city. As for targeting Civilians on purpose and for torture it's all theory and here say until you have a) pictures or Footage like Abu-grab(that may be spelled wrong), where i would like to note that all know offenders were Court-martialed B) Multiple independent sources, not some mother crying b/c her bathist son got blown up. As for the Storming of the hospital it is logical move as A) it makes a good command center B) How do you stop people from become hostages... Surround them with guns C) Also not allowing Civilian Doctors in does not mean they didn't Use Military Doctors, Every Suicide Bomber that has Survived was because of a US Military Doctor. Insurgents in Iraq Don't fight in uniform meaning they techically are not an organzied army and do not have the benifit of Geneva Conventions Protection . In short go US and if they don't fight by the rules, why would you. |

Who's protecting the terrorists? The point is whether or not there was indiscriminated attacks against civilians.

Because doing so means the death of innocent lives. |

Indiscriminated attacks are a good way to make an example. Theres a reason there hasnt been a major war in Europe (WW3) yet, they decided they're done dying for now and they would rather spend Euros.
What makes any Human innocent? We are all evil, selfish creatures that have decided to make ourselve seem all fluffy and nice by inventing things like rights and compassion (which is weakness in a pretty pakage).
| Quote: | | Right, these people need to participate in the elctions. Let's bomb them. Good reasoning. |
They really dont need to participate. If people were "forced" to participate in the government we would be takinbg a step backwards toward old Athenian democracy. We United States citizens do a dman good job of exercising our right NOT to vote.
| Quote: | | I'd use the napalm, if you don't well somebody has to die. |
Im glad our incredibly competent European allies havent used anything to bring reports against themselves because if a European -lets go with division- division used napalm, not only would a city be destroyed, we would also have a dead Euro division.[/quote] |

| Please, you all cannot even comprehend what is happening. My brother is a squad leader in the Marine Special Forces. He has said that he had done awful things but had no choice. It was either they die or you and your men die. As Big said, the people were warned and had plenty of time to evacuate the city. The city was going to be purged and the inhabitants knew that. Those that stayed, stayed at their own risk. Since insurgents dress as civilians, this sort of thing is inevitable. Is it sad that potentially innocent people were killed? Of course, but it was THEIR choice not to leave. Kids that will never be in that situation do not have the right to question the actions of those that are. Those that do merely want to cause trouble and nothing more. |

Stucco, I can tell in one word why people didnot leave the town:
PROPAGANDA
All their lives they were fed stories about the dangers of the west, and the things the west will do to the people.
Also, don't forget they are strictly religious and their leaders make a perfect use of that fact.
I don't underestimate the problems the soldiers encounter, but I do think their leaders underestimate what the soldiers encounter, and conveniently forget the influence of religion on the common people.

We will always have the right too question, thats part of democracy, free speech allowing us to question and challenge whatever we see fit.
America must answer these sort of claims, they can not be dismissed for reasons I have already explained. Or shall we all go around shooting people and then saying when asked why we did it, that we dont have to tell you are biased and too unimportant for us. They have evidence it needs to proved or disproved simple. There also could have been unmitigating circumstances, that made these actions necessary. Its not compunding the US to guilt as all the us replies have acted in response. It is asking for there side of the events. |

I guess what I found frustrating was the fact that the article made it see like the U.S. purposefully targeted civilian areas. To say that they do and provide weak proof as the article did is just... well.... stupid.
Religion. I understand the impact of religion. However, the propaganda is working both ways in Iraq and so they still have a choice. These people aren't completely sheltered. They had warning, stay or leave. From there, the new emphasis is on protecting the troops that enter. |

| I do not belive you are qualified in the slightest to decide whether evidence is weak or strong. Should we all just let things like this slip, so we can allow another hitler. |

| Quote: | | ="theTJtrooperI just read your latest post...that is absolute bullcrap. You dare compare the WTC to U.S. soldiers in the Middle East. Let me tell you something: UNITED STATES SOLDIERS DO NOT KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE. Our military is the best in the world, no one is better trained. People spend their lives serving our country, and yet they are degraded as family killers by those who have no morals, such as yourself. I like debating war and politics on forums, but I can't stand to see people lie like that about our military. Its disgusting. |
LOL
americas history of killing innocent people in wars is almost unparalleled by others.
in what kind of fucked up dream world do you live? |

Also, look up on the term friendly fire. A lot of american soldiers were wounded/killed due to it. The american army (any army in fact) is not as flawless as they would like you to believe.

Hate to break it to you, but neither are you and most people that post on these forums. If those qualified were the only ones allowed to post, there wouldn't be any posts.
Unfortunately, there are those that give the US military a bad name. In no way should someone generalize that the actions of a small group reflect those of the larger group. My brother said it best, "There are good marines and bad marines. The few bad marines get the publicity while the good marines get the job done right." It's something you'll find everywhere. |

I cant kill myself because you would still be here and that would suck ( a world with you only, without me. I mean honestly...). Im not the only person who believes people are evil. HISTORY LESSON: there was once a man named Thomas Hobbes. He was a philosopher during the Enlightenment period who believed humans were essentially evil and selfish, so we need a strong ruler to keep from destroying ourselves. I believe his most famour book is Leviathan. The End.

I personally dont like how people go, "Hitler= most evil prson ever!" His ideals werent alien to the German people. He actually represented German ideals at the time. I propose, dont hate Hitler, hate the majority of Germany.

The worst thing about the army is that its recruitment commercials make it look like everyone gets a tank. Im pretty sure not everyone gets a tank.

Is anyone in the entire world really qualified to make that decision?
I think my band teacher said it better (sorry), "If you are doing your job you wont be noticed. You are only noticed if you arent doing your job..." Then he told us not to get noticed. |

actually the phosphorus shells arent considered a chemical weapon, it is used for "lighting" and in the reprisal of the geneva convention in 1980 the US didnt sign the document saying it wouldnt use it, so its not illegal for us to use a lighting agent in times of war.... hey if your a civilian get outta the road. We are over there fighting against a faceless enemy, civilians die, it happens. When we invaded Iraq it had the worlds 5th strongest military and we ran through them. The terorrist there have a huge arsenal of weapons at their disposal. |

Christ. The USA kicks ass.
Forget bullets, we'll burn your asses.
Shame the report is from another one of those random USA hate mongering countries.
If I was in charge, I'd take care of them, before anyone else. |
