I want a vote of the top one-drops, two drops, and 3 drops, and if you want 4 cc and 5 cc drops in Standard currently. With 5 color so accessable, this I feel will help evolve the field.

My thoughts:

1 cc:
1.) Thoughtseize
2.) Figure of Destiny
3.) Tattermunge Maniac

2 cc:
1.) Bitterblossom
2.) Tidehollow Sculler
3.) Agony Warp
3.) Wren's Run Vanquisher
4.) Broken Ambitions
5.) Pyroclam

3 cc:
1.) Doran
2.) Firespout
3.) Sprouting Thrimax

These are my thoughts... please add you lists if you wish.

Later,
Distance

You people dont understand what a drop is. agony warp is auto-include in "best 2cc spells" make sense, but it isnt a "drop".

Someone said it early, but a 'drop' is a creature. I'd allow bitterblossom for a 2 drop because its a permanent and it makes creatures.

A drop isn't a creature. A drop is a spell that you can play regardless of any action on the part of your opponent. Thoughtsieze is a 1 drop, because you can play it on turn 1, without waiting for your opponent to do anything. So generally threats (like Bitterblossom) are "drops", as well as cards that advance your strategy, without requiring an action from you opponent. Removal is therfore not really "drops", since they require your opponent to play something.

With that in mind:

1cc
(1) Figure of Destiny
(2) Thoughtsieze
(3) Burenton Forge Tender

2cc
(1) Bitterblossom
(2) Wren's run vanquisher
(3) Tidehollow Sculler

3cc
(1) Doran
(2) Kitchen Finks
(3) Mulldrifter

I think he meant to say 1cc spells, 2cc spells and 3cc spells.

Also, cards that are good in a specific deck are not necessarily universally good. I wouldn't say that Burrenton Forge-Tender was a sure pick in draft, for example.

1) Figure of Destiny
2) Thoughtseize
3) Birds of Paradise

1) Bitterblossom
2) Agony Warp
3) Incinerate

1) Kitchen Finks
2) Firespout
3) Bant Charm

1) Cryptic Command
2) Chameleon Colossus
3) Wrath of God
