Players:
COCodril
--> ElementalMox
NunoPereira
torajima
vidie
Foil Squire
Scrubbi
MatsOle

------ SHM ------

Pack 1 pick 1:
Fists of the Demigod
Helm of the Ghastlord
Gravelgill Duo
Rune-Cervin Rider
Scuzzback Marauders
Power of Fire
Safewright Quest
Aphotic Wisps
Woeleecher
Memory Sluice
Giantbaiting
Lurebound Scarecrow
Flow of Ideas
--> Plumeveil
Greater Auramancy

Im liking blue and white at the moment and plumeveil is the best card in the pack.

Pack 1 pick 2:
Parapet Watchers
--> Watchwing Scarecrow
Barkshell Blessing
Sootstoke Kindler
Faerie Macabre
Emberstrike Duo
Gleeful Sabotage
Kithkin Shielddare
Prismwake Merrow
Inescapable Brute
Dawnglow Infusion
Corrosive Mentor
Tattermunge Maniac
Deep-Slumber Titan

I think the blessing is clearly better but i know as long as i'm 1 off blue or white i can play scarecrow so i took it.

Pack 1 pick 3:
--> Curse of Chains
Helm of the Ghastlord
Thistledown Duo
Juvenile Gloomwidow
Gravelgill Axeshark
Safewright Quest
Splitting Headache
Barrenton Medic
Memory Sluice
Poison the Well
Resplendent Mentor
Wild Swing
Vexing Shusher

Curse is an easy pick here.

Pack 1 pick 4:
Rattleblaze Scarecrow
--> Barrenton Cragtreads
Disturbing Plot
Foxfire Oak
Pili-Pala
Cinderbones
Apothecary Initiate
Fate Transfer
Bloodmark Mentor
Roughshod Mentor
Corrupt
Counterbore

I was tempted to take the corrupt but i do not like taking elsewhere flasks early or mono black so i went with the safer crag treads.

Pack 1 pick 5:
Sickle Ripper
Torpor Dust
Blight Sickle
Somnomancer
Woeleecher
Prismwake Merrow
Crimson Wisps
Viridescent Wisps
Cinderbones
--> Flow of Ideas
Dire Undercurrents

Yes I took a risk, flow just seemed so much more powerfull than sonomancer

Pack 1 pick 6:
--> Gravelgill Axeshark
Sootstoke Kindler
Nurturer Initiate
Mudbrawler Raiders
Mine Excavation
Blazethorn Scarecrow
Spell Syphon
Aphotic Wisps
Raking Canopy
Beseech the Queen

better than the beseech right?

Pack 1 pick 7:
Torture
Torpor Dust
--> Faerie Macabre
Poison the Well
Swamp (FOIL)
Ashenmoor Cohort
Reknit
Spiteflame Witch
Plague of Vermin

I could still end up black and its the best card in pack so i took it.

Pack 1 pick 8:
Traitor's Roar
Rattleblaze Scarecrow
Apothecary Initiate
--> Whimwader
Toil to Renown
Thornwatch Scarecrow
Rustrazor Butcher
Moonring Island

I think i should have hate drafted something here but i was a little unsure so i took a card im almost bound not to play, I guess its good vs me so hey whatever.

Pack 1 pick 9:
Fists of the Demigod
Gravelgill Duo
Safewright Quest
Aphotic Wisps
Woeleecher
Memory Sluice
--> Flow of Ideas

Wow i did not expect that to table 2 flows mono blue here we go.

Pack 1 pick 10:
Sootstoke Kindler
Emberstrike Duo
--> Prismwake Merrow
Inescapable Brute
Dawnglow Infusion
Deep-Slumber Titan

Once again think prob better to hate stronger card but i was still feeling unsure about how deck was going to work out.

Pack 1 pick 11:
Splitting Headache
Barrenton Medic
--> Memory Sluice
Poison the Well
Wild Swing

I got milled once i still feel the scar

Pack 1 pick 12:
Rattleblaze Scarecrow
Disturbing Plot
--> Cinderbones
Apothecary Initiate

Black is a possible second colour and i quite like this guy.

Pack 1 pick 13:
Blight Sickle
--> Crimson Wisps
Cinderbones

Not enough to play two though.

Pack 1 pick 14:
Blazethorn Scarecrow
--> Aphotic Wisps

Possible on colour wisp great.

Pack 1 pick 15:
--> Ashenmoor Cohort

------ SHM ------

Pack 2 pick 1:
Burn Trail
Wildslayer Elves
Cinderhaze Wretch
Silkbind Faerie
Wanderbrine Rootcutters
Scar
Drowner Initiate
Pili-Pala
Bloodshed Fever
Manamorphose
Turn to Mist
--> Biting Tether
Gloomwidow
Mistveil Plains
Cragganwick Cremator

When ever i open a biting tether there is always a silkbind faerie in my pack, wa wa wa to much good stuff

Pack 2 pick 2:
Puncture Bolt
Safehold Duo
Wingrattle Scarecrow
Old Ghastbark
Ghastly Discovery
Oona's Gatewarden
Zealous Guardian
Loch Korrigan
Ember Gale
Niveous Wisps
Loamdragger Giant
--> Repel Intruders
Kulrath Knight
Blowfly Infestation

Hmm looking at this now maybe i should have took the kulrath knight.

Pack 2 pick 3:
Mudbrawler Cohort
Farhaven Elf
Last Breath
Wanderbrine Rootcutters
Sootwalkers
Safehold Sentry
Gloomwidow's Feast
Manaforge Cinder
Scuzzback Scrapper
Elvish Hexhunter
Goldenglow Moth
--> Wasp Lancer
Deepchannel Mentor

Easy pick again.

Pack 2 pick 4:
Sootwalkers
Blistering Dieflyn
Shield of the Oversoul
Kinscaer Harpoonist
Cultbrand Cinder
Drowner Initiate
Plains (FOIL)
Sinking Feeling
Inquisitor's Snare
--> River's Grasp
Tatterkite
Lockjaw Snapper

The grasp is just to much better than the harponist to stay mono blue and better than the cinder.

Pack 2 pick 5:
Morselhoarder
Chainbreaker
Last Breath
Elvish Hexhunter
Smash to Smithereens
Smolder Initiate
Scrapbasket
Strip Bare
--> Faerie Swarm
Gloomwidow
Horde of Boggarts

I'm never sure how to rate these, but i felt it added to my ways of getting through aerial blockers (by size) so i took it over the mist.

Pack 2 pick 6:
Raven's Run Dragoon
Runes of the Deus
Kinscaer Harpoonist
Cinderhaze Wretch
Scrapbasket
Scuzzback Scrapper
Rite of Consumption
Put Away
--> Tatterkite
Blowfly Infestation

Its better than harponist even with faerie right?

Pack 2 pick 7:
Wingrattle Scarecrow
--> Merrow Wavebreakers
Boggart Arsonists
Sinking Feeling
Goldenglow Moth
Smash to Smithereens
Loch Korrigan
Faerie Swarm
Cursecatcher

Is this pick right Im not sure, I just felt faerie swarm was to weak by himself to want to play 2.

Pack 2 pick 8:
Presence of Gond
--> Briarberry Cohort
Safehold Sentry
Blistering Dieflyn
Elsewhere Flask
Cerulean Wisps
Gloomwidow's Feast
Heap Doll

Good times

Pack 2 pick 9:
Cinderhaze Wretch
Scar
Drowner Initiate
--> Pili-Pala
Bloodshed Fever
Manamorphose
Mistveil Plains

I took it over the scar as it would help me need to play less swamps if i splash and banshing knack sickness, with my Merrow wavebreakers which is better than advice from the fae.

Pack 2 pick 10:
--> Wingrattle Scarecrow
Ghastly Discovery
Zealous Guardian
Niveous Wisps
Loamdragger Giant
Blowfly Infestation

Its a guy that can fly and can come back to fly again.

Pack 2 pick 11:
Manaforge Cinder
Scuzzback Scrapper
--> Elvish Hexhunter
Goldenglow Moth
Deepchannel Mentor

Just in case i end up white could be useful, plus i dont want to see him with my tethers out.

Pack 2 pick 12:
--> Drowner Initiate
Plains (FOIL)
Sinking Feeling
Lockjaw Snapper

No mill for you.

Pack 2 pick 13:
Smash to Smithereens
--> Scrapbasket
Strip Bare

I do not think blue is as good in eventide so i took it in case i had to play it, looking back at it now I have no idea why, hating the smash to smitherens would have been better, I have a few decent targets.

Pack 2 pick 14:
Cinderhaze Wretch
--> Put Away

Pack 2 pick 15:
--> Goldenglow Moth

------ EVE ------

Pack 3 pick 1:
Monstrify
Cinder Pyromancer

Merrow Levitator

Nightmare Incursion
Heartlash Cinder
Grazing Kelpie
Kithkin Spellduster (FOIL)

Syphon Life
Shell Skulkin
Marshdrinker Giant
Duergar Assailant
Scourge of the Nobilis
Leering Emblem
--> Soul Reap
Jawbone Skulkin
Odious Trow
Cankerous Thirst

Was hoping for one of these, the black splash is now on.

Pack 3 pick 4:
Hobgoblin Dragoon
Double Cleave
Talara's Bane
--> Noggle Bandit
Tilling Treefolk
Duergar Mine-Captain
Patrol Signaler
Battlegate Mimic
Oona's Grace
Merrow Levitator
Fire at Will
Desecrator Hag

I do not want to many double black spells so i took the bandit.

Pack 3 pick 5:
Ballynock Trapper
--> Dream Thief (FOIL)
Gift of the Deity
Dream Thief
Odious Trow
Hobgoblin Dragoon
Antler Skulkin
Cache Raiders
Invert the Skies

Solid.

Pack 3 pick 6:
Nightsky Mimic
Shell Skulkin
Hotheaded Giant
Kithkin Zealot
Helix Pinnacle
Favor of the Overbeing
Merrow Bonegnawer
Cauldron Haze
Grazing Kelpie
--> Banishing Knack

I was hoping for one of these sadly, Ive yet to pull off the awsomeness, when ever i cast it, its normally to keep myself alive for a turn.

Pack 3 pick 7:
Jawbone Skulkin
--> Woodlurker Mimic
Raven's Crime
Trapjaw Kelpie
Hearthfire Hobgoblin
Dream Fracture
Battlegate Mimic
Heartlash Cinder

Could play.

Pack 3 pick 8:
--> Noggle Bridgebreaker
Merrow Bonegnawer
Batwing Brume

Nip Gwyllion
Inside Out

Pack 3 pick 9:
Cinder Pyromancer
Clout of the Dominus
Smoldering Butcher
Wilderness Hypnotist
Merrow Levitator
Beckon Apparition
--> Chaotic Backlash

I remeber one of the ruel brothers winning a game he never should have with this at some big event, so i hated it your not beating me that way.

Pack 3 pick 10:
Kithkin Spellduster
Talara's Bane
Endure
Heartlash Cinder
Grazing Kelpie
--> Dream Thief

I see so may of these late i think people underrate it.

Pack 3 pick 11:
Clout of the Dominus
Shell Skulkin
--> Scourge of the Nobilis
Jawbone Skulkin
Odious Trow

Hate.

Pack 3 pick 12:
Hobgoblin Dragoon
Talara's Bane
Battlegate Mimic
--> Oona's Grace

Thats late.

Pack 3 pick 13:
Odious Trow
Antler Skulkin
--> Inside Out

Pack 3 pick 14:
--> Shell Skulkin
Merrow Bonegnawer

Pack 3 pick 15:
--> Jawbone Skulkin

The deck

1 Banishing knack
1 Soul Reap
1 Curse of Chains
1 Pila Pila
1 briaberry cohort
1 groundling pouncer
1 onna's grace
1 Tatterkite
2 Dream Thief
1 Noggle Bandit
1 Plumeveil
1 Wasp lancer
1 river's grasp
1 Watchwing scarecrow
1 barreton cragtreads
1 faerie swarm
1 noggle bridgebreaker
1 biting tether
1 gravegill axeshark
1 merrow wavebreakers
2 Flow of ideas
13 islands
4 swamps

sideboard cards of note

1 aphotic wisp
1 faerie macabre
1 wingrattlescarecrow

Round 1 was paired vs red deck wins a very good version with double puncture blast, a swarm of cheap creatures back up by some fatties played by torajima who was a really nice guy and I had a good time playing him, despite the bad match up i won 2-1, double flow of ideas for 5 then 7 respectivly being just enough to win game 3, if he had top decked burn trail or embergale he would have won.

Round 2 vs Gr fattie deck, he kills my 2nd turn cohort with puncture bolt, i drop tatter kite then, wasp lancer, which trades with gloomwidow, then he drops the dude that comes into play with a minus -1-1 counter on it for each creature you control I have 1 creature so it a 5/5 bad times but i have answers, I drop a Dream theif play a swamp and pass the turn one more mana and i can flow need to top deck, he untaps plays some uncommon green dude who is a 4/3 and can destroy target swamp or island when he comes into play:< I do not find anymore lands he continues to play beef i lose never casting flow. Game 2 he gets turn 3 raking canopy, now its gonna be hard for my aerial assualt to win banashing kack is the only realistic way thankfully i have in hand, it did not work out though and i got pounded by fatties for the loss again.

Feedback appreciated.

same format as usual:

Note that raking canopy is essentially protection from blue, you were still unlucky to play vs the one in the draft. He would have to have it AND side it in AND draw it.

p1p1
Lurebound Scarecrow and Power of Fire are defineately worth an honourable mention here. I personally would take Power, Veil is a fine first pick.

p1p2
Green is very powerful in pack 3 with 4 first pick commons (snakeform, ouphes, wickerborough elder, gift of the deity). Although gift will probably not be good in your deck, that's still a lot of depth. The fact that you might play it in mono white is just gravy.

p1p4
I don't like corrupt even with flasks (and I will always splash howl, flow or jaws). That said, glad to see you pass it here, and for the right reasons.

p1p5
Judgement call again, I agree with you.

p1p7
You're never going to be playing black seeing the cards you have passed, take torpor dust.

p1p8
Roar vs Whimwader. Tricky, I don't advocate hatedrafting EVER in pack 1 (you want the person passing to you in pack 2 to be out of your colours), so under that logic I would pass roar, pack 2 I might be more tempted if I didn't need whimwade for my deck.

p1p11
Barrenton Medic is the clear pick here, it's a gift this late.

p1p13
I saw this in your last draft with consign to dreams. If one of a card is good enough to make your deck, why not two (curve considerations aside).

p2p5
Swarm is a bomb in your deck.

p2p7
See p1p13

p2p9
Good second level thinking here (see I don't always criticise Razz)

p2p13
This is def. the correct pick.

p3p1
Wow this pack is bad for you, sometimes this happens if you go blue pack 3.

p3p3
... that's a late thirst

p3p5
With your lack of bounce I would take cache raiders as it's outstanding vs white decks which tend to rely heavily on enchantments for removal. 5 mana 4/4s are good. Dream thief is perfectly defensible

Do not worry about the criticism im more than happy to hear it as it will help me get better, Im only not fine with it when its done in an overbearing I am better than thou manner, that some people in here like to employ.

Once again all your points are good and concur with feeback I've got on other forums, from some of the top rated modo players. Medic was my second pick after the sluice, but as my deck was clearly going to be mostly blue I had nightmare visions of me getting beat by some terrible deck with muliple initates and sluice and such.

power of fire is the definitely the right first pick. 1 it does not set you into two colors from the first pick. 2 it is extremely powerful with all the untappers and is easily splashable.

i agree that power of fire is the correct 1st pick, cuz when u pick it u can even splash red for pof if u dont see no more red. Although when u choose plumeveil, if u dont see no good white or blue cards, its a lost pick.

Plumeveil does not set you into two colours, in this format when i draft i am almost always looking to be mono coloured with a splash at most, thats just the way i draft this format.

But i was wrong to take the veil, but i prefer blue not quite on Quentin Martin proportions where i take a 7th pick think twice first blue card ive seen all draft as a sign blue is open but i find it gets me better results. I am going to try to not draft blue so much as it does not pay to be only able to draft one colour well but apprently i underate power of fire.

you hate draft waaaay too much when there are either main-deck playables or, usually, great sideboard cards to pick instead.
the only hate draft i agree with in any of the 3 draft reports i've read of yours is the chaotic backlash in this draft.

also, i feel you dont pay enough attention to your curve when drafting (or maybe u do and you just never mention it?). either way, it seems it turned out fine this time.

power of fire is the first pick for sure then looking at the rest of the cards in the packs you would have had a nice mono red deck i think.

pack 1 pick 3

Taking chain over thistledown is just wrong. In Uw thistledown is the second best common you can open.

Pack 1 Pick5

Taking flow over the 2 drop is also pretty bad the format has done nothing but sped up and i don't see any reason to take a 6 drop utititly card over a good t2 play.

I do pay attention to curve, infact when i draft i have the cards set out infront of me by curve, but when i come to type it up, I do not have the information presented like that, so i never really mention it.

I just want to point out that I very strongly disagree with Bouncyer's comments about chain vs duo

Pack 1 ; Pick 5: Horrible pick lol. It tables. Torpor Dust I guess would be the pick. The pack sucks.
Pack 1 ; Pick 9: Gravelgill Duo is the pick. You over-value Flow of Ideas.
Pack 1 ; Pick 10: Don't pass the Duo.
Pack 2 ; Pick 1: You take the Silkbind. It's a perfect 3 drop. Controls the board most of the game till it dies.
Pack 2 ; Pick 2: Take the Kulrath. You could possibly end up Blue Black maybe Black White
Pack 2 ; Pick 3: See, Wasp Lancer. Definately should be Blue black now.
Pack 2 ; Pick 7: Winggrattle Scarecrow is better.
Pack 2 ; Pick 12: WOW. Lockjaw Snapper is the clear pick. He's good lol.
Pack 3 ; Pick 2: Rendclaw Trow. You'd clearly be Blue Black he's another really good 3 drop.
Pack 3 ; Pick 9: Smoldering Butcher. You could've had a really good blue black deck lol.
