need some help updating

ok so I made a squirrel deck a while back and would like some help updating it so I may be able to go down to one of my local card shops and play.

now go easy on me. I know that the deck list is pretty crapy it was a more causal deck then some thing that I was playing sericously but I liked playing the squirrels and would love to make this deck a more tournment style deck.

Squirrels aren't tournament worthy. Play elves, it's one of the better tier 2 decks, usually good for a 3-3 finish.

I really dont have the money to get a bunch of the new elfs. Is there anything that I could do to it to make it run faster and more smoothly.

I dont need to add cards to get more tokens in play. this deck has no problems getting mass amounts of tokens. i am looking for ways to speed the deck up or be able to lock down pretty quick. smokestack is pretty cool so I will have to see about trying it out.

If you don't have money for the stupidly inexspensive elves, I don't see you having money to make that deck faster.

It seems like you are playing in a fairly casual 1.5 environment, so you should just do what you like with the deck.
