at the last FNM draft here, we had a situation where I had 2 creatures with my opponents controled lingify's on them, I played and equiped Vetern's Arments to one of the now 0/4 tree folk
heres the problem, since lingify removes all abilitys from the card, and veterns arments is worded so the ability is added text, would my lingify'd creature get the bonus from arments? |

| It depends on the order in which the cards are played. If they Arnament was allready equiped on it it loses the ability. If it is equiped after it turns into a tree it gets the bonus. |

| Just to confirm: Valandor is right. Both effects add/remove abilities, so they are applied in the same layer. Since neither depends on the other, they are applied in timestamp order. |

| But you could just reequip the armor to get the ability again. |

No, you can't. Re-equipping it to the same creature does nothing. It does not renew the timestamp. You'd have to move it to another a creature and back to get a new timestamp.
501.2b If an effect tries to attach an Aura, Equipment, or Fortification to the object it’s already attached to, the effect does nothing.
501.2c Attaching an Aura, Equipment, or Fortification in play to a different object causes the Aura, Equipment, or Fortification to receive a new timestamp. |

I can't understand how you aren't a judge with all that knowledge from magic rulings. |

I'm actually working on my level 1 ATM. Should have it in a few months . It's mostly getting the Penalty Guideline down and applying that, the rules I know... |
