Premise:
So I got up this morning and really, really wanted to play in the Trail tonight at 6PM EST. The only problem was that I didn't have any block decks built. I hate trying o netdeck, so I decided to make a deck that hasn't been smeared across Magic-League's decklists.

The point:
Any last minute suggestions would be appreciated, also I would like to get overall opinions on whether this deck can make it in block play. Thanks for the quick response (and sorry for the tardy post).

Here's the list, flame on:

Mono Black Control
Time Spiral Block Constructed
60 Cards MD, 15 SB

Land:
18 Swamp
4 Dessert
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

Creatures:
4 Korlash, Heir to Blackblade
2 Sengir Nosferatu
1 Stronghold Overseer

Spells:
4 Damnation
4 Tendrils of Corruption
4 Sudden Death
1 Death Rattle
2 Enslave
3 Extirpate
4 Stupor
3 Temporal Extortion
2 Demonic Collusion

Artifact:
3 Phyrexian Totem

Sideboard:
4 Plague Sliver
4 Dash Hopes
3 Sudden Spoiling
1 Enslave
1 Extirpate
1 Stronghold Overseer
1 Avatar of Woe

I will post a more in depth self-analysis of this deck after the trial. I am going to go test it for now, but all of the fishbowl draws have given me a sufficient amount of land (I would add more if Consume Spirit were in block play).

Again, I know I should explain the deck and the choices within the deck on a more thorough basis and I totally intend to after the Trial, but I just wanted to spark the topic to see if there were any last minute suggestions that anyone would like to make.

Thanks a bunch,
Killface

grave peril is pretty tech.. esp vs aggro.. cause they have to decide which creature they are gonna send into it.. and vs control it really puts a hamper on teferi/shapeshifter getting dropped.

ive come to like pooling venom.. esp with damnnation.. vs aggro.. they usually take the pain and keep using the land to empty their hand.. then you drop a damnnation.. then you destroy their land.. its good stuff..

ichor slick can be good for its cycling ability.. vs control it lets you draw something better.. and vs aggro its almost as good as sudden death.

cards i think are weak in your build..

temporal extortion.. for 4 mana.. your basically giving up your turn (casting wise) to get another.. so its only really useful for attacks.

death rattle.. quite pricey for a destroy creature.. and with RG ramp running around.. might not be as useful as you think..

demonic consultation.. 5 for a tutor is alot.. and theres only really 2 types of cards in your deck.. creature removal or creatures.. so its not too good (i think).. so...

-2 demonic consultation
-3 temporal extortion
-1 death rattle

+4 ichor slick
+2 grave peril

and the sideboard..

-4 dash hopes
-1 stronghold overseer
-1 avatar of woe

+3 Withered Wretch <-- flashback + that stupid red spell
+3 Funeral Charm <-- discard vs aggro/ */1 removal.

I would suggest something else than Sengir nosferatu, since he dies easily to sudden death, which is played everywhere. so i suggest moving 2 plague slivers to the main, that way you also have more sb space.

I'm actually playing this:

// Lands
17 [MI] Swamp (1)
1 [TSP] Urza's Factory
1 [PLC] Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4 [AN] Desert

// Creatures
3 [FUT] Shimian Specter
4 [FUT] Augur of Skulls
4 [FUT] Korlash, Heir to Blackblade
1 [FUT] Tombstalker

// Spells
4 [TSB] Stupor
3 [PLC] Extirpate
3 [TSP] Tendrils of Corruption
3 [PLC] Enslave
4 [FUT] Pooling Venom
4 [PLC] Damnation
4 [TSP] Sudden Death

// Sideboard
SB: 4 [TSP] Mindstab
[Still working on the SB]

It's REALLY competitive against aggro: in 17 games i have only lost 2 of them.
The Mindstab in the SB is for the Control Matchup, and helps a lot.
The Pooling Venom maindeck are better than you can think: on the early turns they are an half stone rain/half sudden shock; later, they are just good against Control (because wipe away Urborgs and Urza's Factories and Storage Lands and so on).

The deck wins without problems if it starts with augur of skulls t2 and stupor on t3. What do you think about it?
