This deck seems to be able to win through its internal synergies, it also uses blink to abuse its reanimation targets, and has many different ways of fixing mana/drawing cards as well as putting the reanimation targets into the graveyard.

1 Calciform Pools
9 Island
5 Swamp
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4 Plains
3 Gemstone Mine
2 Resurrection
4 Dread Return
4 Dreamscape Artist
3 Momentary Blink
1 Akroma, Angel of Wrath
3 Triskelavus
4 Bogardan Hellkite
4 Looter il-Kor
4 Magus of the Bazaar
4 Prismatic Lens
4 Strangling Soot
SB: 3 Plague Sliver <- duh, vs Slivers
SB: 4 Damnation <- Vs aggro
SB: 3 Trickbind <- Relevant vs Mishra.dec and Blink Riders
SB: 1 Akroma, Angel of Wrath <- Vs. Black or Red control
SB: 4 Stupor <- vs. control

All of the 2 mana creatures serve an important purpose in this deck. Magus provides a draw/discard effect to both find and put the reanimation targets in the grave. Looter provides a little bit of early damage as well as being draw/discard source. And Dreamscape Artist serves as mana fixing and a discard source, as well as thinning lands from my deck to increase relevant draws. I'll wait for comments before explaining possible intricacies that exist in the deck.

since you have the dreamscape artist..throwing in 1 mountain for the flash back of strangling root doesnt seem that detrimental. although the lenses help I suppose

You know body double exist, so you don't need to play white mana...
Why play blink at all? what does it do for you?
Yea why not splash 1 mtn for the soot, it might be worth it.
wouldn't you board in Damnation vs slivers? why would you have to bring in 7 2BB cards agianst 1 deck, thats inefficent...

Blink is very good, just look at my reanimation targets. It is very good with both Triskelavus and Bogardan Hellkite.

ok now ive been playing with a reanimation.dec for block for about a week now and theres a few things i've learnt.

magus of bazaar is vv bad. plain and simply he is bad card advantage. even in a deck that wants to discard a card or two.

how about instead of him play that draw 4 discard 2 card... better for drawing relevant cards and also allows you to actually gain card advantage.

in my build i run 2 body doubles as when they come into play they arent so dead vs extirpate. and they also let you copy ANY creature from ANY graveyard.

2 words for agro... teferi's moat. you run dreamscape artist allowing for a turn 4 moat stopping most agro decks in the format. triskelavus is bad btw Razz

heres a rough list of my build atm

4 bogardan hellkite
2 akroma angel of wrath
1 teneb, the reanimator
1 numot, the devestator
2 body double
4 looter il'kor
4 dreamscape artist

2 momentary blink
2 draw 4 disc 2
4 dread return
2 resurection
4 ancestral vision
3 strangling soot
4 prismatic lens

4 gemstone mine
1 urborg, tomb of yawgmoth
1 mountain
3 plains
7 island
6 swamp

sb

3 teferis moat
4 cancel
3 willbender
3 sudden death
2 stupor

The only problem i see with your build is that it doesn't take the control matchup at all seriously. The control matchup is what hurts this deck so bad, and i've made a few changes to fix that, while trying not to damage the aggro matchup. This is the most current list I have:

// Lands
1 [TSP] Calciform Pools
1 [8E] Mountain (4)
10 [MM] Island (3)
6 [ST] Swamp (1)
4 [TSB] Gemstone Mine
1 [PLC] Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

// Creatures
4 [TSP] Bogardan Hellkite
2 [TSB] Akroma, Angel of Wrath
2 [PLC] Body Double
4 [TSP] Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
4 [PLC] Dreamscape Artist
4 [TSP] Looter il-Kor

// Spells
4 [TSP] Dread Return
4 [TSP] Prismatic Lens
2 [PLC] Damnation
3 [TSP] Careful Consideration
4 [TSP] Cancel

// Sideboard
SB: 2 [PLC] Damnation
SB: 4 [PLC] Imp's Mischief
SB: 3 [TSB] Teferi's Moat
SB: 3 [TSP] Strangling Soot
SB: 3 [MI] Stupor

Imp's Mischief is great, because it is a way to stop countermagic, and make your key spells resolve. Also, Teferi is a house, he blocks very well and he also improves the control matchup. I think you were right about the Teferi's Moat idea, though, so i'm including those in my board.

i love that people dislike magus of the bazaar because it is "bad card advantage". they say this as though the deck cares about "card advantage". i who cares if you are "down a card (or even two)" if you are trading that CA status for a 6/6. i sure dont. that being said, we've tested multiple versions of UB reanimator using a variety of discard outlets, and the best version we could come up with was:

4 piracy charm
3 funeral charm
3 looter il kor
4 magus of the bazaar
4 bogardan hellkite
4 akroma, angel of wrath
2 akroma, angel of fury
4 psychotic episode
4 prismatic lens
4 dread return
4 body double
4 gemstone mine
1 urborg
7 swamp
8 island

this version is simply the most streamlined, efficient way to build it. it may not be the most consistent version over the course of a long game (and it does a large amount of mulliganing, but even if you have to mulligan to 4, the deck can still power out turn 3/4 akromas. we found that you could give yourself a 'better' late game, but it just didnt matter. the deck just isnt equipped with the tools to fight anything in the late game, or even an aggro deck with a developed board. we discovered that the bestp lan was to just maximize efficiency and get the creatures out of the bin as soon as possible, and this is the most successful version of the deck we could find.

that being said, it still sucks. it went 50-50 against white weenie, and CAN NOT BEAT teferi. i lost multiple games on which i had a turn 3 attacking angel. so, just a warning to all those out there who refuse to give up on it, you are in for some disappointment. i really didnt want to, but i gave up on it, because there are just so many BETTER decks out there, and if a deck is losing more than half of the times is GETS ITS NUT DRAW!!!, then its probably time to shelve it.
