I wanted some help with making a sideboard, and making the deck more competetive. The point of the deck is to ping and kill off enemy creatures or taking control of them and using them against my opponent. i know a burn deck and some other destructive cards would destroy this deck, i just don't know how to fight back against them.

2 is the worst number in Magic. Play 4 of's of important cards. 3 of's of semi-important cards. And 1 of's of finishers or situational cards.

Of all the creatures to play 4 of, why in the world do you choose the one than A: can't attack in the off chance it needs to, B: actually costs mana to activate, and C: costs 4 mana for p/t stats that have been printed on a 1 mana artifact?

Truth is, it's very very difficult to make this deck works. Pinging deck is just too cumbersome and doesn't pack enough punch. If you really want to make the deck better the quick fix to forget about the pingers and just chuck in as many counterspells as you have. Mawcor can probably stay, add in some big creatures for the finish.

go into the masters deck data base, count all the 2 ofs, than the 3 ofs, than the 1 ofs and 4 ofs. the quantity of cards in a deck is dictated by its deck construction and typ, not by the logic that "2 is the worst number in magic"
