|
//NAME: Untitled Deck
3 Chrome Mox
3 Blinkmoth Nexus
4 Great Furnace
2 Barbarian Ring
4 Wooded Foothills
8 Mountain
2 Shrapnel Blast
3 Grim Lavamancer
3 Pyrite Spellbomb
2 Giant Solifuge
2 Avalanche Riders
2 Sensei's Divining Top
3 Magma Jet
4 Slith Firewalker
2 Genju of the Spires
4 Pillage
3 Zo-Zu the Punisher
2 Stone Rain
4 Molten Rain
SB: 4 Reiterate
SB: 2 Umezawa's Jitte
SB: 3 Sulfuric Vortex
SB: 4 Pyroclasm
SB: 2 Overload
any suggestions? my main area for help is the sideboard.
why reiterate? play it on tendrils of agony and get back to me!!!!!!
why jittes? well...looks like good lifegain/removal against BDW, though they will always remove my creature before it deals damage, so this is sketchy
why sulfuric vortex? play it against a slow deck, it owns!
why overload? play it against a turn 1 sceptor/chant, .
i was also looking into making more room for sun droplets in sdieboard, they rape BDW. BDW is my main concern for htis deck, it beats it only half the time. |

| Yea, Reiterate doesn't work on tendrils.....your best bet is to play Pyrostatic Pillar, but it doesn't work out very well against TEPS....I'm not sure exactly on the best sideboard card for this deck against it..... |

you should try lava blister, it seems like the perfect fit for your deck.
Lava Blister 1R
sorcery
destroy target non-basic land unless its controller has lava blister deal 6 damage to him or her
I think its really good you should test it out |

| run 4 bloodstained mire. less lands in library=better draws. also, id up the chrome mox to 4 b/c it is ideal for u to get a second turn (on the play) land kill spell vs control and if u wait the additional turn, you seriously risk being countered, and thus they will win. |

i would sugest that you take a look on the red-ponza deck that made the top8 of US nationals two years ago..
list was roughly:
4 Blinkmouth nexus
1 Boseiju, who shelters all
1 That legendary land that lets you and your opponent draw a card
4 Solemn Simulacrum
4 Arc Slogger
4 Shrapnellblast
4 Molten rain
4 Pulse of the Forge
4 Magma Jet
4 Wayfarer's Bauble
2 Sowing Salt
4 Sensei's Divinging Top
3 Beacon of Destruction
In the sideboard you would typicaly run like:
Blod moon
2 Sowing Salt
Boil or Boiling Seas
Flamebreak
etc..
Probably a lot of good burn spells that you could use that where not allowed in t2 two years back.
I would probably cut Magma Jet for some other burn spell, and im not sure if you need 4 Wayfarer's Bauble, but they can come in handy. Both as shrapnell blast feeds and for fetching lands..
Blodstain mire/ other red fetchlands does seem right too. |
