Hey, I have been working on this deck and have been having trouble getting it up to speed... I was wondering what your card choices might be.
Land: 20
Hallowed Fountain x 4
Steam Vents x 3
Breeding Pool x 4
Polluted Delta x 3
Bloodstained mire x 2
Flooded Strand x 4
Creatures:
Platinum Angel x 3
Wild Cantor x 4
Spells:
Mana Leak x 3
Sensei's Divining Top x 3
Ponder x 3
Fire/Ice x 3
Grapeshot x 4
Isochron Scepter x 4
Orim's Chant x 2
Desperate Ritual x 4
Final Fortune x 3
Enduring Renewal x 4
I have no sideboard.
The point in the deck is to Set up Isochron with a Final Fortune, Get Angel into play and have unlimited turns. Once that is set up, It is just waiting to draw into enduring renewal/Wild Cantor/Grapeshot for the win.
I am just having troubles setting up early, Or ramping/search draw power.
Any suggestions to speed this up and make it more competetive (Though it is for casual, Not tournament play)
Let me know what you think. Thanks |

| I don't like that many copies of enduring renewal or grapeshot, I think something like another counterspell would be better there. Maybe a fog effect. |

| once you get angel/scepter/final fortune, you have unlimited turns... You don't need the renewal, cantor, grapeshot combo to win. Just put a fire/ice on a scepter, tap their creatures, burn them, and swing with angels. That should be enough of a win condition. With those cards removed, you can add more chants, counters, and search to set up your combo. |

Exactly.
-4 Wild Cantor
-4 Grapeshot
-4 Enduring Renewal
Use those slots to reinforce the lock combo. Get rid of all those ugly three ofs. The remaining slots you can use to power out the angels. |

Well if you want to be more competitive i'd say cut the platinum angels for 2 exalted angel and 1 eternal dragon, and cut the final fortune's sfor more chants, then add some counterspells and lightning helixes.
If you want to stick with the platinum angel + final fortune theme then at least:
-4 Wild Cantor
-4 Grapeshot
-4 Enduring Renawal
-3 Lands
+3 Counterbalance
+4 Thirst for Knowledge
+1 Mana Leak
+4 Counterspell
+3 Chrome Mox |

Teferi+Chant+Stick=hardlock.
Do you really need to ramp up to one card that costs 7 mana and waste a stick on a card that is only good with said 7 mana flyer? How would it make you feel when the other player puts Ancient Grudge on the stack in response to Final Fortune on a stick targeting your Platinum Angel? They also get to flashback Ancient Grudge to kill the stick. This is only one of many 3 for 1 or 3 for 2 trades that are going to be in the other players favor.
When there is the Krosan Grip issue...
That is the real reson that the stick does not see play. If you are going to play no-stick you need to play Teferi. |
