Pretty simple concept. Steal lands, wrath/wildfire away threats. Akroma FTW.
// Deck file for Magic Workstation
// Lands
1 Academy Ruins
4 Adarkar Wastes
1 Azorius Chancery
2 Flagstones of Trokair
4 Hallowed Fountain
3 Island
1 Plains
2 Sacred Foundry
4 Steam Vents
1 Urza's Factory
// Creatures
3 Court Hussar
2 Akroma, Angel of Wrath
// Spells
4 Annex
2 Azorius Signet
2 Confiscate
2 Copy Enchantment
3 Dream Leash
4 Izzet Signet
3 Mana Leak
4 Remand
2 Tidings
3 Wildfire
3 Wrath of God
// Sideboard
SB: 3 Circle of Protection: Red
SB: 3 Disenchant
SB: 3 Faith's Fetters
SB: 3 Shadow of Doubt
SB: 3 Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
I have tested about 50 games with this. Agrro is a race. Solar flare/pox/control is a mind battle and Walk the aeons is a BYE. The only thing that gives me major problems is the GUW Momentary Blink out there. Any advice? |

| is Academy Ruins necessary? you only run signets, seems like you’d be better off with a different land. |

| You have a pretty interesting idea here. Since you are running red have you maybe considered running 1 or 2 greater gargadons? Steal your opponents land and sac to gargadon, then wildifre and sac your 4 lands to gargadon. You could probably get him out pretty fast. |

Doesn't work, you can't sac the wildfire lands TO something else. its a completely seperate effect. Just like you can't sac a STE to a cruel edict and still get the land

I think he means that you can sacrifice your lands in response to Wildfire, as you would be losing most if not all of them anyway, hopefully resetting your opponent's board in the process. Akroma seems bad in a deck with Wildfire. |

| i could be wrong, but wildfire is a universal effect, yeah? so it doesn't matter if the damage is from a red source, it doesn't "target" anything. just like wrath kills pro white creatures. i'm aware wrath and wildfire are different in that they have two very different effects (one is damage one is not), but i'm pretty sure that's how protection works. Or it might be true that targeting has nothing to do with it...CoP: Red can stop wildfire damage, or not? |

a) it doesn't target no but any damage to a pro red creature gets reduced to zero
b) wild fire doesn't deal damage to you so no cop red won't prevent the damage since theres none to prevent
and i think the guy was meaning about akroma and wildfire bad togeather in that akroma costs 8 and wildfire nukes your own lands not that bad since you steal theirs but if you go with the gargadon plan that some people have suggested then you won't be getting to 8 mana any time soon |
