A deck like this was posted on the WotC Boards today.
I did some gold fishing, and came up with this:

// Lands
2 [DIS] Blood Crypt
3 [RAV] Watery Grave
1 [GP] Steam Vents
4 [ON] Polluted Delta
4 [WL] Gemstone Mine
4 [5E] City of Brass
3 [ON] Bloodstained Mire

// Spells
3 [SC] Mind's Desire
4 [CS] Rite of Flame
3 [JU] Cabal Therapy
3 [DIS] Infernal Tutor
3 [US] Duress
2 [SC] Tendrils of Agony
2 [FD] Pentad Prism
4 [TSP] Lotus Bloom
4 [JU] Burning Wish
3 [TSP] Ancestral Vision
4 [CHK] Desperate Ritual
4 [TO] Cabal Ritual

// Sideboard
SB: 1 [SC] Mind's Desire
SB: 1 [JU] Cabal Therapy
SB: 1 [DIS] Infernal Tutor
SB: 1 [US] Duress
SB: 2 [SC] Tendrils of Agony
SB: 4 [UL] Defense Grid
SB: 4 [OV] Pyroclasm
SB: 1 [RAV] Sins of the Past

Mana Accel into Minds Desire = GG

What do you think?
If you start the first turn by Suspending Lotus Bloom, you should win the turn you "play it."

Anyone have any ideas on how to make it more consistant?

Pentad prism seems like the only weakpoint I can see. Maybe replace it with chromatic star?

Can you play Ancestral Vision with Mind's Desire when it is removed?

its mana cost is nothing. so instead of paying nothing, you would be paying nothing... if that makes any sense...

yes you can

so, duress sb is kinda pointless. if u have to take a combo piece or, most likely, a counter out, an extra main deck duress with work much more often even if it shows up less. a control deck will always counter wish if they can.

i think i like the deck tho it seems like the pyroclasm sb slots should go to something more anti-control...agro shouldn't be a problem for u.

Why are you calling this Grim Long? Grim Long is called Grim Long in T1 because it uses Grim Tutor, you know that right?

Actually, I don't play T1, and I didn't know that. lol.
Unless someone comes up with a cool name, I am going to keep it as Grim Long, seeing as this deck tries to do the same thing.

BTW: Please don't turn this thread into posts filled with nothing but names for the deck. lol.

Ggerg: I think your right, I will add in another Duress. What do you think should come out? I was thinking the Pentad Prism as BattleofWits pointed out. Sound good?

The way to make this more consistant is to add card draw not named Ancestral Vison. Dark Confidant, in spite of having Mind's Desire in your deck, would be a great addition, but if he's too vulnerable for you, you could try Night's Whisper. Pentad Prism actually functions as another rainbow mana source in addition to quasi-acceleration, which is decent. Seeing as Aggro-Loam is the default deck right now, this deck would probably do well on Magic Online. I would call it Long X, personally.

Even if the deck sucks, it at least looks interesting.

I would stick to extended names, and go with the generic Tendrils name.

There is already a name for this deck, which is TEPS

The Extended Perfect Storm.

!!CAUTION!! THIS POST CONTAINS NON-NAME RELATED SUGGESTIONS!!!

i havent testd this yet bc i need to find out how to install mws on linux, but i dont see how u beat aggro like bdw, 4 pyroclasm that u have to fetch just wont cut it, idk but i was thinking somethin like innocent blood though i dont know if u want some md or all sb, its also is a cheap quasi-answer to psychatog, also for psychatog and his butt buddies ravager and mongrel, u might consider sudden shocks in the board or even some main, because if it gets played it takes 4 life, 2 from itself and another storm for tendrils

I think winning before they do is how you beat aggro such as Boros =/

well for instance, heartbeat could consistently win on turn 4, but it also had some moments peace md to slow aggro down if the draw was slow, without testing its hard to tell what this decks avg kill turn is. this is important to determine its aggro matchups, u run too many nonbasics, so u will be taking lots of pain from fetches/duals and i would only run 3 mines.

btw i think u lose to heartbeat, even with 4 duress main

After goldfishing, this is what I have to say:
Droping Lotus Bloom first turn is the best thing you can do. If you have a MD in when Lotus Bloom becomes unsuspended, you should win that turn, unless you have a crap hand that you should have Mulligened away.

This deck, imo, can race Boros. Even with all the pain. If you have a slower hand, Wishing for a Pyroclasm is just like a two mana WoG.

With Therapy and Duress, this deck should be able to beat Heartbeat. You goldfish a turn 3 win. If you keep Countermagic out of their hand, going off turn 3 is easy.

I agree that Ansestral Visions needs to be removed from the deck, for a 1-2 mana card draw spell. I was thinking Nights Whisper. Any other suggestions?
