If I win someone in the 1st round of a tourney and then drop, will my rating change?

yes as long as you drop after you and your opponent confirm the win

Your opponent doesn't even have to confirm. As long as your report BEFORE you drop, the site will remember you reported for your win and as long as no one changes it, it will be your win.
