| What I care about most is his second ability. It completely WRECKS permission if it resolves. From now on, permission players must almost never tap out against a blue mage if he has 5 mana ready after untap. I love this card! |

| There was a time when this card would have been the stone-cold nuts. I still think it could be quite good, but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as many people will believe. |

I think the important thing to remember is that this guy is an awesome blue hoser for.............BLUE. Blue just isn’t that dominant of a color at the moment. He’s a cool card no doubt but he only fits really in a mono-blue/blue heavy deck AGAINST a blue counter based control deck. At the moment blue just isn’t powerful enough to warrant packing this guy into a mono-blue deck in to hopes of hosing another mono-blue deck.
Lets just pretend that blue gets enough powerhouse cards to become dominant in the next t2..... then what’s from keeping the other blue mage from packing this guy in order to fu<k you over?
Definitely cool, but at the end of the day not that useful. |

| That's so untrue. His abilities are very relevant against a wide range of decks, not just permission decks. |

Indeed, just count the number of instants you play in your opponent's turn. Now lets all wait for some 4letterwordbeginswithN to say "omg!!! wtf!!! it's brok3n"
with UUU in the cost, i would not play it unless it was in UG |

What happens if someone plays an instant and you respond with teferi? Would that make the instant fizzle, if so then it would be some kind of counterspell also..
But I guess since the spell is already on the stack is has already been played so it probably doesn't work. |

| Spyx is correct. Whatever effect Teferi has on the gameplay will only apply AFTER he has resolved and come into play. Anything else on the stack while he is not in play is not affected by the hosing ability. |

No your right, red decks never play instants on their oppenents turn. And that whole removal thing...those aren't used anymore at all...

i know its soon to decide how broken he is,
but i really like him, its been every blue players dream to hold all his counterspells and play his creatures at eot,
and as for being able to remove him, he completely gets rid of their response instant speed removal, if they can play on spells during mainphases then you have complete control over countering them
as for 2UUU-not that big of a deal imo. just at first glance i think of a g/u control deck. similar to lashergro, woodelves, farseek, signets, etc and not to mention you have an amazing counterspell with slime.
all in all teferi is amazing.... so far, we'll have to see how the rest of TS pans out |

I like it for U control against anything really because when you eot cast him they cannot cast spells until their next turn. Then your fully untapped waiting to drop eot SSS's and what nots.
Whats better for U control that an forcing an opponent to only play sorceries the rest of the game. |

| Also any creature you play at the end of his turn is uncounterable. |

what on gods green earth are you blabbing about? I was making the point that you DO play quite a few instants in your opponent's turn... my god, learn how to read and stop reading sarcasm in every single word on forums. |
