So I split for third using this deck
Relic Orb
16 Island
4 Rishadan port
2 wasteland
3 tabernacle
2 rainbow efreet
3 tangle wire
2 echoing truth
4 winter orb
4 relic barrier
4 Force of will
4 mana leak
4 counter spells
4 impulse
4 propaganda
SB:
4 Blue EB
4 Chill
4 Chalice
2 arcane lab
1 stifle (stilfe and arcane lab are leaving for 2 hibernation and 1 evacuation)
My matches:
Goblins (2-0)
Dragonforce (0-2)
BW confidant (I dont think it was quite deadguy) (2-0)
Solidarity (2-0)
Loam shit (1-2)
Salvagers (0-0) (Split)
Im also thinking about dropping wastelands for wintermoon mesa. Wasteland has never mattered. It sucks post lock, and doesn't really help pre lock. Mesa is amazing post lock, and does stuff sometimes pre lock.
I am dropping arcane lab and such because I curb stomp solidarity pre board, and chalice for one is more than enough to board in to make an easy game a bye. |

| Is Rainbow Efreet really the best finisher? 22 mana producing lands seems low. |

rainbow efreet gets the hardest to kill flying finisher award
22 lands isn't bad when nothing prelock costs more than 3. |

| no, innocent blood costs one mana and can totally ruin morphling's shit. not to mention the dozens of cards that cost more that can own it. |

dropping it for wintermoon mesa is, but dropping it for blinkmoth well isn't. Pithing needle naming relic barrier is really rough, blinkmoth well serves as extra relic barriers. Also they help incase someone does something ridiculous like play no-stick.
Wasteland, while a strong card in legacy, is worth very little as a 2 of. Very few decks rely on more than 3 lands. Wasteland also slows this deck down since it has no one drops. They can play 2 one drops while you still have no lands.
So I am dropping it for blinkmoth well. |

It's invinible when you have sufficient mana, but there are faster options that are better at controlling Aggro decks (Morphling, Masticore, Meloku). I don't think Edict effects are prevalent enough to run a considerably weaker card. Maybe run 1 Efreet and a Morphling? Morphling is just sooo much better. I think there are a lot more games that Morphling would win you than games you lose to it dieing. When you get the lock, Efreet may be better. You can't count on that all the time though. Morphling can single-handidly beat an aggro deck. Efreet can't.
Also, I agree that you should cut Wasteland. While it is an excellent card in genenal, you're running Tabernacle. You can't afford to trade your land drop for your opponents when you already skip 1 for Tabernacle. |

1 and 1 might be good for the whole needle dodging that may need to occur.
I wouldn't say its sooo much better, but its at least equal with efreet. Judging from your post though, you made it sound like its a normal occurence to cast efreet pre lock. This is almolst never the case. I hold onto efreet as long as neccesary. After its locked up, the average storm crow is usually enough to win the game. |

Morphling is soo much better. Efreet is a 3/1 flyer. Morphling has the potential to deal 5. It can block anything. Aggro decks will not often race a Morphling.
Every game does not play out perfectly. You're not going to get a perfect draw and lock everyone every game. Efreet is just not very strong unless the game is already under control. Morphling can swing a game that was out of control into your control. |

| I know it's rather expensive to play but how about Wrath of Marit Lage on sideboard. Perhaps against Gobos. |
