Hey everyone, in case you haven't read my article on the home page, i was just gonna post my extended Diluted MBC decklist on the forums so i can get some opinions. It is pretty tight i think, but there are always things i haven't thought of, so your input would be awesome! My list is as follows:
1 Boseiju, Who Shelters All
8 Swamp
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Godless Shrine
4 Polluted Delta
3 Cabal Coffers
3 Diabolic Tutor
2 Mortify
1 Mindslaver
1 Haunting Echoes
2 Decree of Justice
3 Vindicate
4 Pernicious Deed
3 Consume Spirit
3 Chainer's Edict
4 Duress
4 Phyrexian Arena
3 Putrefy
1 Crime // Punishment
2 Kokusho, the Evening Star
SB: 2 Cranial Extraction
SB: 2 Crime // Punishment
SB: 2 Circle of Protection: Red
SB: 1 Haunting Echoes
SB: 4 Gerrard's Verdict
SB: 4 Withered Wretch
I feel that, even though it is a control list, many of the choices are straight forward and do not need much explanation. However, I am wondering if anyone has any "tech" that they'd like to share for the affinity matchup, as it is difficult if i do not get an early deed or crime//punishment. |

I think you'd be better off sticking to black removal, rather than putting unnecessary strain on your mana for Putrefy, Mortify, and Vindicate. Splashing for better win conditions and Deed is one thing, but the removal cards are arguably worse than available black options anyway (like Innocent Blood). You shouldn't need to be searching for colors to kill creatures. One or more Yawgmoth's Agenda would be excellent, as well.
I think you could use a Night of Souls' Betrayal, also. It's kills all modular creatures, kills a lot of Boros Deck Wins, and Ichorids. On a similar note, Darkblast is a decent board option. |
