The Loti couldn't stand up to a Crack attack or to Visara, it seemed.

I'm going to make a few changes regarding 3CB on here, after round 20. I'm adding Energy Field, and possibly others, to the permanent ban list. Energy Field has simply proven itself too good of a deck. Round 21 will be the first round with this new ban list.

That said, it seems like less people have been joining, and maybe it's because I'm tapped out of ideas. Any format suggestions, or any requests for previous formats will help.

Round 20 is my nostalgia round. In this round, any card that I have ever played in 3CB is banned (list below).

Banned list:
Unglued AND UNHINGED
Black Lotus
Mesmeric Fiend
Nezumi Shortfang
Blackmail
Chain of Smog
Cabal Therapy
Encroach
Mind Swords
Anvil of Bogardan
Strip Mine

What is 3cb?

3-Card Blind (3CB) is a very unique game. The rules are as follows

Your deck is composed of 3 cards, all of which start in your hand.
You have no library (technically, the library exists, but starts at 0 cards) and no sideboard (Wishes fetch nothing).
Random effects always go in your opponent's favour.
You can see your opponent's hand, so you can always make the best possible play.
You don't lose as a result of not being able to draw a card.
You will play each opponent twice, once going first, once going second.
For each win, you score 3.
For each draw, you score 1.
For each loss, you get nothing.
Other than the aforementioned, EVERYTHING IS HANDLED EXACTLY LIKE A REAL GAME OF MAGIC!

To make an entry, PM your deck to me (GRAH) in the following format:

Subject: 3cb Tournament Entry or 3cb Tournament Revision
Deck Name
Card #1
Card #2
Card #3

(For those who don't know, you don't actually play, you just send the decks and, because of the way the rules work, it's easy for me to compute results.)

If you have any format ideas/suggestions, tell me.

One match correction:

Bweebwee - Black lotuses are for losers - Taiga, Thallid, Crack the Earth

vs

Elnaith - What, no lotus? - Subterranean Hangar, Nekrataal, Chalice of the Void

as listed: 2-2 corrected: 6-0

If he plays the hangar, I can play a thallid and then a crack before he can play nekrataal or a chalice for one. If he doesn't play the hangar, well, I play the thallid and win.

WRONG. He plays Hangar and Chalice for 0 to sac for Crack and Nekrataals your Thallid, leading to a stall.

Oh, right, I hadn't thought of the chalice as crack fodder, sorry.

> y r u ughing?
> w/e
> how about this?
> the total converted mana cost of the 3 cards(deck) must be 2 . (example a land, 2 cards w/ converted mana cost 1 or a land a card w/ 0 mana cost and a card w/ 2 converted mana cost)
<GRAH> no.
> or u may change 2 to 3 or w/e u like

Yeah, because that's not a legitimate response to harassment!

Oh, and you forgot the part where you starting messaging random smileys, so I ignored you.

I would probably enter more often if the card pool varied (i.e. not every set is legal every time. I think it'd be best to change formats a lot).

Sure. Just give me suggestions for such formats, and I'd be happy to oblige.

For future reference, here are the next two round formats:

Round 21: Normal w/ revised ban list

Round 22: At the beginning of each player's main phase, that player adds one mana of any color to their mana pool. This mana does not empty until end of turn and does not cause mana burn. (ban additions)

extended, t2, block, past (block, t2, extended) formats, etc.
Also, restricting what cards can be used is good, like the round where only cards with odd mana costs were legal. Pretty much anything you can do to put a big dent in the card pool should create an interesting round.
