Apprentice not connecting

Me and my friend can't connect to eachothers apprentices. We used the IP that apprentice provided and one that a website provided which was different than the one the apprentice provided and neither will work. Can anyone lend a hand here please? Sad

jheezy, he is asking for a solution to make apprentice work, not another program that has it's problems too, but justdifferent from apprentice.
Anyway, after this way of drawing flames, it is better to become a bit more constructive Smile

The usual problem is either in the fact that you use a network and or router, or the firewall is blocking your connection.

The most simple solution is using hamache (you can find a short manual in the guides section) although it is reported to be unstable on some systems.

Another way to bypass the router is do portforwarding. This is different for each computer, and I cannto give you any generic advice, the only thing I can say is that you best take a look at www.portforward.com.

On the firewall: that also depends on the brand of firewall you use. You need to find your config settings when opening the firewall, and see if there is any comment on apprentice in the configuration list of your wall, and see if you have easy ways of changing the communications options for apprentice in that setup screen.
