ravenous rats will simply force your opponent to discard their extra isamaru, or jitte, or land, or firemane angel, or dredge card, most of the time, and don't warrant a place in this deck.

plagued rusalka is just gorgeous, you can blast enemy dark confidants before they cause trouble, or take down any grizzly bear in combat.

phyrexian arena is a must have, and hit//run is probably not worth the effort, run cruel edict for about the same effect (you will be pissed off if you only net a signet anyway), or burn instead, as this deck has trouble getting over the finish line.

rix maadi is a house, have more if you can, but only if you include the arenas.

dark confidant is the closest thing to broken at the moment, but you would have to drop the split cards, and you will probably want to keep rise//fall

more chars and solifuges as you will find yourself digging for that kill card

you could justify running another lysolda because she is a must kill for your opponent

crypt champion is questionable, the legendary lands couldnt hurt, and you can use untapped mana at the end of your opponents turn to create a goblin for your turn with the guildmage.

rain of gore is reasonable sideboard material, as is threaten

oh, and jitte, wildfire, pontiff, paladin and pyroclasm will destroy you

enough food for thought Very Happy

Nobody has really been able to make rakdos work, and your list is quite bad, the previous poster kinda explained why

I wouldn't run this at regionals.

I would keep hit//Run in the sideboard, hit is a good card against control that doesn't run signets. If they drop that yosei, keiga or whatever they will take a big burn.

Maybe rakdos with more discard is viable, altho I doubt it, as it probabely dies to weenie.

However, the weenie path has been explored and abandonned

you guys are hilarious rakdos is the the most high risk color combination and nobody wants to run the high risk cards that is the reason rakdos dos not work right now honestly the only guy in a rakdos deck the needs to be non rakdos is dark confidant from there you run poppett, avatar of discord, lyzolda, kill suit cultist, slithering shade, rakdos auger mage, high risk things that yes are gonna burn you but my rakdos build run lyzolda, bob, and top honestly how out of cards do you think i stay?

i dont see why seal of fire is better then shock when i dont run anything that has hellbent. I mean they would just see it coming. I just ran hyppies to have a better matchup with control so i wouldnt have to waste board space on okiba gang shinobi. I personally like the first build better but the second one is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more stable and consistant.

edit: yeah the deck absolutly needs confidant

seal of fire > shock - u can drop it first turn and just leave it
therefore u wont have to worry about leaving the extra R open to burn away a creatureon opp. turn

well, i agree, in this build seal of fire isn't really better than shock
It's only better if u have hellbenders(and still then, shock is easily disposed off) or with blood thirsty guys(scab-clan in grull).

Ur second decklist looks better, but the point still stands, this type of rakdosweenie doesn't work. The overall card-quality is just not that high...

I have done alot of testing with this deck and its not as bad as u all think. Sure the quality of the creatures is nothing compared to paladins, kird aps, ghost council, etc. but the version I am testing with now is running 3 times the amount of removal as any of the other aggro decks, early game I smash face using removal to clear the way then late game against ghost husk once they establish board control I just burn them out.

Also the disruption(discard and such) that this deck can hold gives me a better matchup against control than any of the other aggro decks.

Still the hardest matchup I have seen is ghost husk which will prolly be the most highly played deck at regs. If they establish board control I cant really come back from that unless I can burn them out. Pontiff is a Bi*ch

only distruption u have is hypnotic specter, which usually gets removed

this looks very shabby against control, or combo. Ur match vs hearthbeat is horrible, pontif looks bad indeed.

I would advise u to run 3 rix-maadi, vs control it's really, really good, u could even put one in sb.
Ur hand empties fast, and then u cna start killing their kokusho or whatever

i have seen people running this Rakdos.dec, which is surprisingly good.

4 Blood Crypt
4 Sulfurious Springs
6 Swamp
5 Mountain
1 Shizo, Death's STorehouse

4 Dark Confidant
4 Hellhole Rats
4 Ravenous Rats
4 Nezumi Shortfang
3 Abyssal Nocturnus

4 Rise//Fall
4 Seal of Fire
4 Flames of the Blood Hand
3 Char
3 Hit//Run
3 Blackmail

SB:
4 Giant Solifuge
3 Pithing Needle
3 Persecute
3 Volcanic Hammer
2 Mindslicer

It runs well and it hits fast with its synergy.

Well I didnt get to go to regionals but I am still running this deck. After ALOT of testing this is what it has come down to. there are still some mathups im not happy with like heartbeat but if I get my early disruption specially postboard I am usualy ok. And yes pontiff kicks my ass. Well here is my list again

SB: 3 Flames of the Blood Hand
SB: 4 Pithing Needle
SB: 4 Rise // Fall
SB: 1 Giant Solifuge
SB: 3 Blood Moon

4 Blood Crypt
4 Sulfurous Springs
7 Mountain
7 Swamp

3 Giant Solifuge
3 Lyzolda, the Blood Witch
4 Frostling
4 Dark Confidant
1 Frenzied Goblin
3 Hand of Cruelty
3 Rakdos Augermage

4 Shock
4 Volcanic Hammer
3 Cruel Edict
3 Distress
3 Char

The side is still a little shaky anything u can think of that would help my matchup with ghost husk? Oh and btw rix-maadi is not good at all. The curve in this deck is already shaky it just does not have a place in here.

every single creature in your deck dies to pyroclasm, thus rakdos is not viable.

seal of fire is better than shock, stop being ludacriously bad.
