As we can see , current T2 environment is infested with BW variants, but i donīt see any1 complaining, maybe because almost every1 plays with it.
For those who hate BW in all forms( like me), do you guys think that izzet wildfire may achieve good results against bw?
Here's a decklist:
3 wildfire
4 compulsive research
2 tidings
3 telling time
3 electrolize
4 repeal
4 mana leak
4 remand
2 meloku,the coulded mirror
4 izzet signet
3 keiga, the tide Star
4 urza's mine
4 urza's tower
4 urza's powerplant
4 steam vents
4 shivan reef
1 minamo, school at water's edge
1 oboro, palace in the clouds
1 miren the moaning well
1 Island
SIDEBOARD
4 spell snare (agro and owl)
3 pyroclasm (...)
3 jester's cap( heartbeat)
3 pithing needle (...x2)
2 Demonfire ( optional finisher)
Tell me about what do you guys think about this list and , in your opinion , what's the best answer to this current environment.
Cheers |

The best answer to this environment is to grab an aggro-type deck and beat the snot out of your opponent. control is dead. Too many different types of threats coming at you, its impossible for an answer deck to win consistently.
Oh, about your deck
its nice, but more often then not youll have counters in hand while your opponent is beating you down.
good luck casting that wildfire agains opposing paladin en vecs/ castigates/ rumblings/ mana leaks/ anything ghost husk has on the board. |

I'd say that's a pretty erroneous statement. For one thing, you're completely disregarding sideboards. For another, you're failing to realize that many cards are multipurpose.
Take some GWB control deck for example, putrefy and mortify MD are obviously great against the aggro-heavy metagame. Putrefy can also come in a pinch against owl (or the stray jitte), and mortify can screw up heartbeat and greater good. Shambling shell serves as recurring removal against aggro, and is also great for putting pressure on other control decks (especially since you can't really get rid of him). Phyrexian arena obviously helps you against everybody, and you can either use something to gain the life back (hierarch, peace of mind, etc) or just kill it with a mortify if it starts outlasting it's usefulness and you've stabilized the game.
GWU seems to be doing pretty well also.
The days of 20-MD-Counterspells Control decks are probably dead and gone from T2, but don't think that control is dead. |

That was the worst comment I have read on this site. I have been playing tron for some time now and having little problems with hand in hand and husk. I have also beaten gruul and zoo variants. I cannot believe i'm even responding to that horrible comment, but spanish class is so damn boring |

TRon consistently beating ghost husk, zoo, gruul, hand in hand, UW aggro, RW aggro, BW aggro????
Give me a friggin break
Have you not seen the current flood of aggro decks littering the tops 8's? WHat the F... are you thinking?
Ill rape your tron deck with my 4 color limited zoo deck.

izzet tronfire is easily tier 1
drop the electrolyzes and MD pyroclasm, drop demonfire, add 1 ryusei somewhere, and finally have some confiscates in the board |

| If you are playing RU, and you want to beat BW, a GREAT card in the SB is flashfire. You can almost effectively end a game once you play that card. |

...No?
Caves of Koilos doesn't count as a plains, and it's not real tough for them to draw into another one.
Though, any sort of mass-land-removal strategy is likely the safest for a diverse metagame, considering that everyone needs land. |

Uh actually I've played Stryfe with half the above archetypes and hes wiped the floor with me everytime. I'm running tron now . Do some testing before you make some assinine comment. Tron is the best deck. |

I've played against Tron quite a few times at real tournaments and have wiped the floor with it using crappy rogue decks. Although I don't think it's cool to just be like "OMG I r rap3 ur deck" I must say that once it fails to obtain Tron, the deck itself fails. If you do manage to get Tron, even, it's simple to rid the Win Conditions from the board/ Make sure they never hit. With Keiga, Ryusei, and Meloku, all VERY expensive creatures, as win conditions, you will get overrun by aggro, GOOD aggro, stack smacked by control, or out waited by combo decks.
About the deck, I've given my overall opinion on the idea, but the deck itself is still lacking. I may sound stupid but I have seen Niv-Mizzet used, and as said before me Ryusei is half a Wildfire who flies and hits for 5 each turn. Mana Leak is very iffy for late game, which Tron nearly ALWAYS goes into (Unless it's extended), as a hard counter. I'd cut Miren for something like Shinka considering you have VERY few win conditions, nothing to get rid of so easily. I must say that Pithing Needle on the sb is also a bit iffy, but hey whatver floats your boat.
EDIT: Hmmm. I thought about it and realized Confiscate would be rather fun in here |
