hand of honor is clearly better vs everything. it doesnt die to putrefy or mortify, and can block ghost council and paladin and live. its a no brainer.

only vs zoo would you want cruelty, for the pro-white killing watchwolves. but other than that, hand of honor is better.

Hand of Honor doesn't die to Last Gasp, which clearly makes it better. The only reason you play one of the two hands is for the BW matchup, and why play one that does to a common removal spell is beyond me.

this poll is retarded.

your arguments are basically hand of honour has pro black, but then again, hand of cruelty has pro white. hmm the advantage of pro white is white spells and permanents can't harm it, but then again, pro black means black spells and permanents can't hurt it.

hmmm which is better?

morons

Pro black is currently more useful than prowhite. With the abundance of BW, hand of honor is quite the house, aswell as trumping the paladins in mirorrs or vs WW with them. The prowhite is useful vs fetters I suppose, but vs the other aggro with white, they have no white creatures that you can block and call with hand of cruelty that you couldn't with honor(except watchwolf, which becomes a trade instead of a freebie) The ability to bypass last gasp, and sick shoal, and lock a husk out of combat far outweigh cruelty imo.

I believe that Hand of Honor is better in the current Standard because it lets you focus more on you white mana, which allows you to also run other cards with double white in the mana cost such as Paladin en Vec and Descendant of Kiyomaro which are really good in the deck. Whereas if you run Hand of Cruelty you aren't able to consistantly get you mana and be able to cast both Cruelty and a Paladin.

The only thing you need to look at to decided this is your metagame. If there are a lot of U/R/W Angel decks then obviously run the pro white dude, otherwise in almost every other match up pro black has much more pros than pro white.
