| Windows Virus Scan? How do I go about killing it. I'm on Windows 2000 for the record. |

I was using Network Associates VirusScan, but if you're using another kind of anti-virus the problem could be the same.
Try to look to the toolbar on the bottom right of your screen. If any anti-virus is running you should see the related icon.
Otherwise go to the control board (hope this is the english for "pannello di controllo": sorry i have an italian version of WinXP) and find the "PC security center" or something like that. There you should be able to find VirusScan Enterprise which is Windows' anti-virus and disable it.
I don't know if this could help since i usually keep it down (i already have Network Associates VS up). |
