Should i add more control, Cytoplast acts as removal if needed (copt your frog to make his creature a 0/0, it doesn't come into play therefore no +1/+1 counters), what's wrong? I need critique not, "i don't like it." Why don't you like it? Help.

THIS ISNT CRITICAL MASS. I hate when people get deck archetypes wrong. Sligh is probably the worst though.

I never once said this was Critical Mass...did I? I made a poll asking about Critical Mass, this deck would have to change to fit in with that. The reason for the poll was to allow me to decide to.

You're playing 4 novijen.. none of them after the first will help at all. The first won't even be that good especially in your opening hand. So your mana base is shaky at best as you need more green early on to cast birds and sprawl (which is terrible)

Your counterspells aren't going to help because you want to be casting creatures on turn 2 and 3 and if you tap out to play them, you only have repeal to deal with the big 4 mana drops. (All of which have those CiP abilities so you don't want to bounce them)

That's a longer version of "No sir i don't like it"

Plaxmanta (not frogling) actually allows you to keep mana open for counters, but still effectively cast a creature on turn 2.

As for deck advice, I would suggest Ninja of the Deep Hours, as he works great with coiling oracle and plaxmanta and also birds but not nearly as well. Oracle just combos to draw you even more cards, and plaxmanta lets you make a ninija out of seemingly nowhere. And all the extra card drawing puts you really ahead in the game.

I would go down to 2 novijen, at most, and definetly remove the utopia sprawl for a couple yavimaya coast, as well as -2 islands for 2 more yavimaya coast.

Youre gonna want 22 lands if you want a shot at playing sky swallower. Speaking of which, yes, SSS is a bomb, but I probably wouldnt run 4. 3 might be better.

And I would drop cytoshape. If you have one sky swallower out, odds are good youre gonne win without two, because the only way your opponents gonna drop it is wrath, which kills your birdys anyway. The rest of the time, its not that great.

Maybe add cytoplast root-kin? Its not bad at all, and helps out your frogling. Im not sure how good manipulator will be in constructed, but thats up to you. Test it out! He just seems really vulnerable, as a mistimed shock could really foil your plans.

its pretty much assumed considering the thread title and the vote...

wheres hinder?

is Plaxmanta worth it? Out of the three creatures that might be worth protecting (flogling, swallower, and manipulator) 2 of them already cant be the target of spells. PLUS manipulator could be given it via frog. Id suggest droping plaxmanta for hinders.

1) You don't have enough land. When will people learn that birds do not equal land? Not to mention that 4 of those 20 don't even produce colored mana

2) Utopia sprawl? What?

3) Cytoplast manipulator is pointless to MD. Just use confiscate. On second thought, drop them completely along with sprawl and add 4 lands.
